SCOPE 1.1 Scope. This specification covers

REQUIREMENTS 3.1 First article. When specified (see 6.2), the contractor shall furnish a sample for fi
9、rst article inspection and approval (see 4.3 and 6.3). 3.2 Material and components (see 6.5). Materials and components shall be as specified herein and on applicable drawings. shall be of the quality normally used by the manufacturer in his crimper, provided the complete item complies with all provi
10、sions of this specification. Materials not definitely specified 3.2.1 Steel. Steel shall conform to the chemical composition of AIS1 1045 of FED-STD-66. * 3.3 Design and construction. The crimper shall be in accordance wih the design and dimensions shown on Drawing 12-1-162. 3.3.1 Fuse cutter. The j

17、Y ASSURANCE PROVISIONS * 4.1 Responsibility for inspection. Unless otherwise specified in the contract, the contractor is responsible for the performance of all inspection requirements as specified herein. Except as otherwise specified in the contract, the contractor may use his own or any other fac
18、ilities suitable for the performance of the inspection requirements specified herein, unless disapproved by the Government. The Government reserves the right to perform any of the inspections set forth in the specification where such inspections are deemed necessary to assure supplies and services c
19、onform to precribed requirements. 4.2 Classification of inspection. The inspection requirements specified herein are classified as follows: a. b. First article inspection (see 4.3). When a first article is required (see 6.2), it shall be examined for the defects specified in 4.4.2.1 and 4.4.2.2 and tested as specified in 4.5.1, 4.5.2, and 4.5.3. The presence of any defect or failure of any test shall be cause
21、 for rejection of the first article. 4.4 Quality conformance inspection. Unless otherwise specified, sampling for inspection shall be in accordance with MIL-STD-105. 4.4.1 Component and material inspection. In accordance with 4.1, components and materials shall be inspected in accordance with all th
22、e requirements of referenced specifications, drawings, and standards unless otherwise excluded, amended, modified, or qualified in this specification or applicable purchase document. * 4.4.1.1 Component testing. Prior to assembly, the crimper shall be tested in accordance with 4.5.2 to determine com
23、pliance with 3.3.3. one jaw and handle (punch end) and one jaw and handle (screwdriver end). shall be all of the jaw and handle sections offered for inspection at one time. inspection level shall be S-2 and the acceptable quality level (AQL) shall be 2.5 defects per hundred units. 35、 movement of fuse in the crimped cap for compliance with the pull requirement of 3.3.2. Any nonconformance shall constitute a defect. 5. PACKAGING 5.1 Preservation, packaging, packing, and marking. Preservation, packaging, packing, and marking for level A, B, or C shall be in accordance with PPP-P-4
36、0 (see 6.2). 6. NOTES 6.1 Intended use. The crimper is intended for use in manually cutting safety fuse and for crimping blasting caps to the fuse. 6.2 Ordering data. Procurement documents should specify the following: (a) Title, number and date of this specification. (b) When first article is requi
37、red (see 3.1). (c) Selection of applicable levels of preservation, packaging and packing (see 5.1). * 6.3 First article. When a first article is required, it shall be inspected and approved under the appropriate provisions of DAR 7-104.55. be a preproduction sample. contracting officer should includ
