14、ormance. 3.2.1.1 Initiation and output. When the assembly is initiated with a MARK 339 MOD 1 Fuze or an approved equivalent energy source, all four boosters shall detonate and the output of each booster shall be sufficient to produce a minimum dent 0.013 inch deep in a steel witness plate (see Figur
15、e i). 3.2.1.2 Temperature shock. “he assembly shall withstand alternating exposure to temperatures of -48 degrees Celsius (OC) for 90 minutes, +75OC for 30 minutes, and +254OC for 10 minutes without degradation of performance, when tested at +155OC, and shall not constitute a safety hazard after exp
16、osure to temperature shock. 3.2.1.3 Low temperature. The assembly shall withstand exposure to a temperature of -62C for 14 days without degradation of perf ormance. 3.2.1.4 HirJh temperature (storage). The assembly shall withstand exposure to a temperature of +74OC for 14 days without degradation of
17、 performance. 3.2.1.5 High temperature (safetv). The assembly shall withstand exposure to a temperature of +99OC for 2 hours followed by +280OC for 30 minutes without constituting a safety hazard and shall not detonate, deflagrate, or burn. 3.3 Design and construction. 3.3.1 Production drawings. The
18、 assembly shall be fabricated and assembled in accordance with the drawings, parts lists, and other documents listed on Drawing X4900676 and as specified herein. 3.3.1.2 Mechanical integritv. Each assembly shall be free from voids, inclusions, or impurities in any of the explosive compo- nents and t

When specified in the contract or purchase order (see 6.2.2), the contractor sh
22、all include written certification, accompanied by objective quality evidence as defined in MIL-STD-109, that the materials, processes, and parts used in the assembly meet the applicable requirements for each item. F 3.3.2.2 Working environnient. Any special working environments for the manufacture o
23、f the assemblies shall be as specified in MIL-B-85251. 3.3.2.3 Manufacturing processes aiid procedures. When specified in the contract or purchase order (see 6.2.2), the contractor shall pre- pare, in the contractors own format, written procedures covering the detailed equipment and process requirem
24、ents and procedures which the contractor proposes to use and does use in the manufacture of assemblies to this specification. Copies of such work instructions, together with referenced documents, shall be made available to the procuring activity in the manner specified in the contract or purchase or
25、der. Examination and review of such documents will not constitute technical approval by the procuring activity, but will evidence only that the documents exist and are in sufficient detail to describe the process and procedures used in the manufacture of assemblies to this specification. 3.4 First a
26、rticle. Unless otherwise specified in the contract or purchase order, the contractor shall funish a preproduction sample of 15 assemblies to the testing activity designated in the contract or pur- chase order for first article inspection and approval (see 4.1.2.1 and 6.2.1). The preproduction sample
27、 shall be manufactured using the same methods, materials, processes and procedures proposed for production. Any production prior to acceptance of the preproduction sample is at the risk of the contractor. After approval of the preproduction sample, changes in material, parts, procedures, design, or
28、processes, may be cause for resubmission of a preproduction sample. 3.4.1 Retest. At the discretion of the procuring activity, preproduc- tion tests, or any portion thereof shall be repeated under any of the following conditions: a. The manufacturer has modified the product (such as a change of raw

Where there is evidence that the quality of the product has not been maintained. accumulated product failures, of systems

When the manufacturer changes the location at which cord assemblies are provided. 3.5 Documentation. When specified in
32、 the contract or purchase order (see 6.2,2), inspection reports shall be prepared as specified in 4.1.2.2 and 4.2.4. 3.6 Workmanship. The device shall be fabricated in a manner that will ensure compliance with all requirements of this specification and the assembly drawing. All parts shall be free f
33、rom chips, dirt, grease, rust and other foreign materials. imperfections of manufacture which will adversely effect the assembly, safety, or functioning of the product. The cleaning methods used shall not be injurious to any of the parts, nor shall the parts be contaminated by the cleaning agents us
34、ed. Assembly shall proceed in a careful, neat, and orderly manner to prevent either damage to the parts, or the inclusion of foreign materials and defective or marginal parts and subassemblies. There shall be no burrs or other 4. QUALITY ASSURANCE PROVISIONS. 4.1 Responsibility for inspection. Unles
35、s otherwise specified in the contract or purchase order (see 6.2.1), the contractor is responsible for the performance of all inspection requirements as specified herein. Except as otherwise specified in the contract or purchase order (see 6.2.1), the contractor may use his own or any other faciliti
36、es suitable for the performance of the inspection requirements specified herein, unless disapproved by the Government. to perform any of the inspections set forth in this specification where such inspections are deemed necessary to assure that supplies and services conform to prescribed requirements

The inspection requirements specified herein are classified as follows: a. Preproduction inspections (see 4
38、.1.2.1). b. Quality conformance inspections (see 4.2). 4.1.2 Special tests and examinations. , 4.1.2.1 Preproduction inspections. Preproduction inspections shall be conducted on the preproduction sample (see 3.4.1) and shall consist of the examinations and tests of Table I in the order shown. 4.1.2.

When specified in the con- tract or purchase order (see 6.2.2), results of the preproduction inspec- tions shall be,prepared for the procuring activity. The report shall contain the following information accompanied

The initial certification shall be substantiated by evidence of the agents authority to bind his principal. Substantiation of the agents authority will not be required with subsequent certifi- cations unles
45、s, during the course of the contract, this authority is vested in another agent of the certifying organization. 4.2 Quality conformance inspections. Quality conformance inspections shall be performed on each inspection lot and shall consist of the examinations and tests listed in Table II in the seq
46、uence shown. 4.2.1 Inspection lot definition.
