Thi s speci f icati on es tab1 i shes the requi rements for design, constructwperformance and test1 ng of the AN/AYK-14 (V) gener

3、al purpose, stored program, real-time digital computer, designated Standard Ai rborne Computer Set, referred to herein as the Computer and as the equipment. 1.2 Classification. The equipment described herein is not a standard computer but a group of computer configurations with common requirements (

4、shop replaceable assemblies (SRAS). This specification includes provisions to order the SRAS separately or combined in specific configurations in addition to the configuration listed in supplement 1 (see 6.2.1). 2. In the event of a conflict between the text of this specification a

26、nd the references cited herein, the text of this speci fication shall take precedence. 3. REQUIREMENTS 3.1 Specification sheets. The individual item requirements shall be as specified herein and in accordance with the applicable specification sheets. In event of any conflict between requirements of

27、this specification and the specification sheet, the latter shall govern. 3.2 First article. When specified, a sample shall be subjected to first article inspection (see 4.2 and 6.3). 3.3 Parts and materials. fillment of major design objectives shall be the prime consideration. doing, the following s

When previously produced models of this equipment did not use non-repairable subassemblies, the design shall not be changed to employ non-repai rab1 e assembl ies without the approval ofi.,the procuring activity. c. Non-repairable subassemblies shall be used in accordance with MIL-STD-2084 and

30、 MIL-E-5400. d. All microelectronic devices and parts shall be readily available, off-the-shelf from at least two qualified sources. All second source microelectronic devices and components shall be mechanically and electrically interchangeable. e. Circuits shall be designed to use a minimuin of dif

31、ferent materials, parts, subassemblies, cards and modules. f. All parts and materials shall conform with applicable require- ments of MIL-E-5400, or better. 9. All memory modules shall be readily available off-the-shelf from at 1 east two qual ified independent manufacturers. shall be available for

32、direct procurement by the Government. Interchangeability demonstration tests shall be conducted in accordance with 4.7. Memory modules 3.3.1 Nonstandard parts and material s approval Approval for the use of nonstandard parts and materials shall be obtained as specified in MIL-E-5400. Microelectronic

33、 devices shall be approved as specified in MIL-STD-965, except that approval as a nonstandard part shall not be required for devices which are: a. Listed in MIL-STD-1562; b. Available from at least two sources which are listed in the appropriate QPL of MIL-M-38510; and Procured to the requirements o

34、f MIL-M-38510 from a qualified source. c. 3.3.2 Microelectronic modular assemblies. When used, microelectronic modular assemblies shall meet the requirements of MIL-STD-965 and MIL-STD-883, Conformal coatings, encapsulants, embedments or potting materials used with modular assembl ies containing Cir

35、cuits and discrete parts shall be easily removable without damage to the assembly. 3.3.3 Modules. The electronic portions of the equipment shall be func- tional ly mo-dularized. Detailed modularity requirements are specified in 3.6.1.1 of this specification. 3.4 Design and construction. The computer

The tota

37、l weight of each computer configuration, excluding external cables, shall be as specified in the applicable specifi- cation sheet. 3.4.2 Dimensions. Dimensions of each computer configuration shall be as defined in the applicable specification sheet. 3.4.3 Reliability. The contractor shall conduct a

38、reliability program in accordance with th e requirements of Appendix B and utilizing MIL-STD-*785 as a guide. On a reorder from a supplier who has previously produced the equip- ment, the program previously used may be continued, unless otherwise specified in the contract (see 6.2.1). 3.4.3.1 Operat

39、ional stability. The computer in any configuration shall operate with specified performance, continuously or intermittently, for a period of not less than 5,000 hours in the operational environment without the necessity for readjustment or scheduled maintenance (excluding air fil ter rep1 acemen t )

40、 . 3.4.3.2 Operating life. The computer shall have a minimum operating life of 10,OOD hours with minimal servicing and replacement of parts. 3.4.3.3 Storage life. The computer shall be designed to meet the perfor- mance and service life requirements of the specification after five years storage unde

41、r worldwide climate conditions specified in MIL-STD-210, when packaged in accordance with MIL-STD-794 Level A and MIL-P-116 Method 11A. 3.4.3.4 Re1 iabil ity in mean-time-between-failure (MTBF). Each computer configuration, including and fan, shall have a reliability (Q of MIL-STD-781) as specifiedB

42、:; its applicable specification sheet, #hen tested and accepted according to the requirements of 4.4.3.2 and 4.4.3.4. Re1 iabil ity requirements for individual shop replaceable assembl ies (SRAS) shall be as specified in 3.6.1.1.2. 3.4.3.5 Time totalizing meter. Each Weapons Replaceable Assembly (WR

43、A) of the computer shall have a time totalizing meter which meets the require- ments of MIL-M-7793. The meter shall be located such that it may be read without the removal of the cover or any part from the unit. The meter shall indicate “ON“ time which is any operating mode including standby, and sh

44、all have a range from O to 9,999 hours, and shall not be capable of being reset. 3.4.4 Cablingand connections. The computer shall provide for the use of cables and connectors in accordance with MIL-E-5400, as specified herein. All external connectors, except fan connector, shall be scoop proof. The

45、input power shall be brought into the computer through a separate connector. 3.4.4.1 Interconnection cabling. The equipment shall be capable of specified operation using external wiring in accordance with the applicable requirements of MIL-W-5088. 3.4.5 Interchangeabil ity. In addi tion to the reqir

46、ements of MIL-E-5400, all parts having the same part number shall be interchangeable with each other with respect to installation and performance. Parts interchangeabil ity shall be in accordance with MIL-1-8500. 3.4.6 Interference control. The generation of

48、 electromagnetic inter- ference by the equipment and the vulnerability of the equipment to electro- magnetic interference shall meet the requirements of MIL-STD-461, with Notice 3, as modified herein (see 4.2.4) with all input/output (I/O) signal connectors capped. If specified in the contract, test results, including cable configurations will be provided by the procuring activity (see 6.2.1). 3.4.7 Maintainability. The contractor shall incorporate the design requirements for maintainability features, BIT features, construction, pro- visions for test points, and other maintainability parameters in accordance with MIL-STD-2084.
