The individual item requirements shall be as specified herein and in accordance with the applicable specification sheets. In the event

When specified in the contract or purchase order, a sample shall be subjected to first article inspection (see 4.2, 6.2.1 and 6.3). 3.3 Chaff material. The c

Dipoles (see 6.4.6) shall meet the dimension and composition requirements of the applicable specification sheets (see 3.1). Dipoles composed of coated filaments shall have a d.c. resistivity not gr

Each Air Launch Chaff Countermeasures (see 6,4.1) including chaff payload (see 6.4.3) and all parts, a
16、ssemblies, markings, packaging and packing; shall conform to all the requirements of this specification, and the applicable DL for design, construction and workmanship, except as otherwise specified in the contract (see 6.2.1). Configuration control shall be maintained in accordance with DOD-STD-481
17、. I 3.4.1 Nomenclature and identification markinqs. Nomenclature and identification markings shall be in accordance with MIL-STD-129, MIL-STD-130, CFR 49 Parts 171-173 and as specified herein; 3.4.2 item description. The Air Launch Chaff Countermeasures (Type RR-( )/AL) is comprised of a canister, p
18、ayload release assembly, safe and arm assembly and a cy1 indrical , frangible case containing the chaff payload. The chaff payload is comprised of aluminum coated glass dipoles. The dipoles are cut (see 6.4.4) to respond to specified radar threat frequencies. At a point after launch from the aircraf
19、t, dependent on relative wind velocity, the release assembly arms the safe and arm assembly and releases the chaff payload and arm assembly detonates the center burster. The chaff payload is ejected through the frangible case by the center burster and the chaff dipole muffins (see 6.4.12) are disper

The Air Launch Chaff Countermeasures contents shall meet the design, construction and physical requir
28、ements specified herein. Drawings shall be interpreted with DOD-D-1000 and ANSI Y14.5. 3.8.1 Components. Each Air Launch Chaff Countermeasures shall consist of a windflap, canister, payload release assembly, chaff payload assembly, and other components and shall be of the material, dimensions, quali
29、ty and 3.8.1.1 Windflap. The windflap shall initiate the payload release . quantity specified in this specification and the applicable DL. assembly (see 3.8.1.3) after the Air Launch Chaff Countermeasures is launched from the aircraft. 3.8.1.2 Canister. The canister shall consist of a cylindrical me
30、tal tube to which the payload release assembly (see 3.8.1.3) and chaff payload assembly (see 3.8.1.4) can be attached. 3.8.1.3 Pavl oad re1 ease assembl Y. The payl oad re1 ease assembly shall consist of a device(s) as specified in the applicable specification sheet (see 3.1) capable of releasing an

Unless otherwise specified in the contract or purchase order, the contractor is responsible for the performa
37、nce of all inspection requirements as specified herein. Except as otherwise . specified in the contract or purchase order, the contractor may use his own or any other facilities suitable for the performance of the inspection requirements specified herein, unless disapproved by the Government, The Go

The inspections requirements specified herein are classified as follows: a. First Article Inspection (see 4.2). b. Initial Production
42、Inspection (see 4.3). c. Quality Conformance Inspection (see 4.4). 4.1.3 Lot information. A lot shall consist of a group of items of a specific configuration, produced within the same time frame at one location, by the same production line and production technique, and submitted for acceptance, insp
43、ection, or use at one time. 4.2 First article inspection. First article inspection shall be conducted by the contractor on the Air Launch Chaff Countermeasures, chaff payload or chaff assembly(s) that are representative of the production units to be supplied under the contract. payload or chaff asse
44、mbly(s) shall be inspected according to the approved first article inspection procedure (see 4.5). No first article inspection shall be conducted prior to acceptance of the first article test procedure by the procuring activity, First article samples shall not be submitted for functional (Government
45、) tests until in-house tests have been conducted in accordance with the approved test procedures and the test results, prepared in accordance with MIL-STD-831 have been accepted by the procuring activity. The Air Launch Chaff Countermeasures, chaff 4.2.1 Scope of inspection. Twelve Air Launch Chaff
46、Countermeasures shall be selected for first article inspection (see Table I) to verify that the Air Launch Chaff Countermeasures meets all the requirements of this specification, applicable DL and the contract (see 6.2.1). The tests on each group shall be run in the order specified in TABLE I. be cl
