REQUIS 3.1 Materials.- 3.1.1 Metals.- Metals shall be of the corrosion-resisting type or suitably pro- tected to resist corrosion in salt spray or atmospheric conditions to which the.drift meter may be subjected when in storage or during normal service life. 3.1.1.1 Dissimilar Metals,- Unless

9、 suitably protected against electrolytic corro- Dissimilar sion, dissimilar metals shall not be used in intimate contact with each other, metals are defined in Drawing DI-0398. 3.1.2 Nonmagnetic Materials.- Nonmagnetic materials shall be used for all parts of the drift meter except where magnetic ma

10、terials are essential. 3.1.3 Fungus-Proof Materials.- Materiais which are not nutrients for fungi shall be used 50 the greatest extent practicableo must be used, such materials shall be treated with a fungicidal agent, as approved by the Procuring Serviceo 3 .l.4 parts, and Government certification

14、itable corresponding AN or JAN Standard part in effect on date of in- vitation for bds, commercial parts may be used provided they conform to all requirements of this specification. 3.2 Design.- The outline,dimensions of the drift meter shall conform to Standard Fhedrlft meter shall be designed to i

16、e, installation, and service without failure. 3.31 Optical =stem.- The optical system shall consist of an achromatic objec- tive, field le-nd eye lens. a distant object, reversed and inverted, on the reticle. space shall be not less than 35 degrees. defects when looking through the drift meter, and
