REQUIREMENTS 3.1 . Preproduction. - This specification makes provisions for preproduction testing . 3.

17、2 Materials, Parts and Processes - In the selection of materials, parts and processes, fulfillment of major design objectives shall be the prime consideration. govern : In so doing, the following shall (1) Microelectronic technology shall be considered. When used, microelectronic devices shall have

18、two or more sources and the device from each source shall be interchangeable. Interchangeability shall be demonstrated by random installation of devices from two or more sources during fabrication of production quantities. Successful operation of the equipment with a random mixing of device sources

19、shall be proof of interchangeability. Unsuccessful operation of the equipment shall be evaluated to determine if a device is faulty or not interchange- able. (2) Other parts and materials requirements shall con- form to Spe.cification MIL-E-16400. (3) Nonrepairable subassemblies shall be used in acc

20、ordance with paragraph 3.1.3(2) of Specification AR-10. (4) When previously produced models of this equip- ment did not use nonrepairable subassemblies, the design shall not be changed to employ nonrepairable assemblies without the approval of the procuring activity . -5- Provided by IHSNot for Resa

21、leNo reproduction or networking permitted without license from IHS-,-,-MIL-D-81688A (AS) 3.2.1 Nonstandard Parts and Material Approval - Approval for use of nonstandard parts and materials (including electron tubes, transistors, diodes and microelectronics devices) shall be obtained as outlined in s

22、pecification MIL-E-16400. in accordance with Step I and Step II only of MIL-STD-749. Nonstandard parts data shall be 3.2.2 Modules - The electronic portions of the equipment shall be functionally modularized in accordance with Section 3.5 of this specification. 3.3 Design and Construction - The equi

23、pment shall be basically identical in design, construction, woriunanship, parts, pro- cesses and materials to the prototype unitS.of the AN/PQ-5 which were designed in accordance with MIL-E-16400 except as otherwise specified herein. 3.3.1 Total Weight - The total weight of the equipment, excluding

30、.3.2 Interconnecting Cabling - The equipment shall be capable of satisfactory operation using external wiring in accordance with the applicable requirements of Specification MIL-C-915. external wiring shall be unshielded, except that a minimum number of individual wires may be shielded when demonstr

31、ated as necessary to meet interference control requirements and provided the assembly of the cable to its plugs may be easily accomplished. that portion of the connectors attached to the cables shall be supplied as part of the equipment. The configuration of all control panels must be approved by the pro- curing activity prior to Preproduction Testing. 3.3.5 Interchangeability - The equipment shall meet the interchangeability requirements of MI

33、L-E-16400. *3.3.6 Interference Control - The generation of radio inter- ference by the equipment and the vulnerability of the equipment to radio - - interference shall meet the class IC equipment requirements of MIL-STD- 461, Test Methods CE03, CSO1, CS02, CS06, RE02, RSO1, RSO2-2, and RS03. Conduct

34、ed and radiated emissions from. 30 Hz to 5 .kHz shall not exceed the limits of CEO1 and REO1 by more than 20 dB. from 5 kHz to 20 kHz shall not exceed the limits of CEO1 by more than 15 dB. The equipment shall meet the requirements of test method REO1 for frequencies above 5 IcHz. Magnetic interfere

42、e Conditions - The equipment shall operate satisfactorily under any of the environmental conditions or reasonable combination of these conditions as specified in Specification MIL-E- 16400F, and amendment 4, for Class 2 equipment, except as modified herein. 44、ted. 3.3.11.2 Shock - The equipment shall be capable of withstand- ing Grade B shock testing requirements of MIL-S-901. 3.3.12 Warm-Up Time - The time requirement for the equip- ment to warm-up prior to operation shall be kept to a minimum and shall not exceed 3 minutes under standard conditions and

45、 5 minutes at extreme service conditions. 3.3.13 Input Electrical Power - The equipment shall be supplied with the power cable, terminated with a type UP131M plug. 3.3.13.1 Operating Power - The equipment shall meet all the applicable requirements of MIL-STD-761 and shall give specified per- formanc

46、e when energized from the following power source having charac- teristics and limits as defined in MIL,-STD-761. The power required shall not exceed the specified amount. (1) AC Power (Single Phase), 115V, 60 Hz, Type I, 1500 VA. 3.3.13.2 Overload Protection - Overload protection for the equipment s

47、hall be provided in.the equipment. of the equipment which are likely to carry an overload due to any failure or poor adjustment shall be proportioned to withstand such overload without permanent damage to the equipment or shall have suita- ble protective devices. shall be held to a minimum.
