Unit shall operate in accordance w$th the requirements herein when inclined permanently up to 15 degrees to either side or 5 degrees on either end from the normal horizontal positio

35、n and with a momentary inclination of 45 degrees to either side simulating the roll of the ship, or by momentary end tilting of 10 degrees. Momentary herein means for a period up to 10 seconds. 3.2.6 Paintin . Surfaces of metallic components, except working surfaces of machined parts, machined surja

36、ces of couplings, shafts and similar items manufactured of corrosion- resistant material and high temperature parts of gas turbines shall be given one pretreatment coating in accordance with MIL-P-15328 and one coat of primer in accordance with TT-P-645 prior to assembly. enamel in accordance with c

38、ttings shall be used in sizes 1/2 inch and above. 3.2.8 Protection against corrosion. In order to prevent deterioration due to corrosion, bolts, nuts, studs, pins, springs, screws, cap screws, and other fastenings or fittings shall be of a corrosion-resisting material as defined in MIL-E-917, or of

39、a material treated in a manner to render it resistant to corrosion. Unpainted surfaces of alumi.num or aluminum alloys shall be treated in accordance with the requirements of MIL-A-8625. dissimilar aluminum alloys or dissimilar metals shall be avoided. Identification plates of corrosion- resisting steel or nickel-copper alloy in accordance with type B or C of MIL-P-15024 and MIL-P-15024/5 shall be furnished for major items of equipment and shall sho

Where the temperature of the outer race of bearings exceeds llOC (ambient plus heat rise) the bearings shall be heat stabilized to operate at higher than normal temperatures. Criteria for heat stabilization
