When specified (see 6.2), the contractor shall furnish sample unit(s) for first article inspection and approval (see 4.3.1 and 6.2). 3.2 Selection of Gover

14、nment documents. Specifications and standards for necessary commodities and services not specified herein shall be selected in accordance with MIL-STD-143 except as provided in 3.2.1 and 3.2.2. 3.2.1 Commercial parts. Commercial parts having suitable properties shall be used, where on the date of in

15、vitation for bids, there are no suitable standard parts. Materials shall conform to applicable specifications and shall be as specified

17、 herein. there are no applicable specifications, or which are not specifically described herein, shall be of the best quality, of the lightest practicable weight and suitable for the purpose intended, materials shall be encouraged to the maximum extent possible. Materials for which . The use of recl

Non-critical materials shall be used where practicable. to meet specification requirements, the material used shall be the least critical of those which are adequate for the purpose. shall be used for all parts of the tachometer indicator, except where otherwise speci

19、fied, Where the use of a critical material is essential 3.3.2 Non-magnetic materials. Non-magnetic materials 3.3.3 Metals. Metals shall be of the corrosive resistant type, or shall be suitably protected as specified herein to resist corrosion due to fuels, salt spray or atmospheric conditions, to wh

20、ich the switch may be subjected when in storage or during normal service life. 3.3.3.1 Dissimilar metals. Dissimilar metals as defined in MIL-STD-889, shall not be used in intimate contact with each other, unless suitably protected against electrolytic corrosion by means of protective coatings, meta

21、ls are in a sealed atmosphere as described in 3.4.3.2. Protective coatings will not be necessary if the 3.3.3.2 Magnesium alloy parts. The lamps shall be located within the indicator case. or in addition to the lamps specified in MIL-L-25467. Lamps conforming to 11824367 or MS24515-1 may be used in lieu of, 3.5.3 Electric connectors. The elec

36、tric connector used shall conform to MIL-C-26482 and MS18099. 3.5.4 Wiring. The external wiring shall be as shown in Figure 1. in auch a manner that individual wires may be easily traced, shall be secured mechanically to the terminals prior to soldering, where practicable. The pointera of the indicator shall be as light weight as practicable, sufficiently rigid to prevent oscillation under vibration and shall be firmly attached to the mechanism but shall also be readily adjustable.
