REQUIREMENTS Preproduction - This specification makes provision for preproduction testing. Parts and Materials - In the selection of parts an

Total Weiqht - The total weight of the IDI, exclud- iria cables, shall be a minimum consistent with god design and shall not exceed 6.3 pounds. Form Factor - The ID1 outline and overall dimensions shall

17、 conform to those specified in Figure 1. Cabling and Connectors - The ID1 shall provide for the use of cables and connectors in accordance with MIL-E-5400. The ID1 shall be capable of satis- factory operation using external wiring in accordance with the applicable requirements of MIL-W-5088. The ext

18、ernal wiring shall be unshielded, except that a minimum number of the individual wires may be shielded when demonstrated as necessary to meet interference control requirements and provided the assembly of the cable to its plugs may be easily accomplished. The ejection seat switch shall interrupt the destruct initiate circuit between pins C and D of ID1 connector J2 when in the NORMAL position, and shall complete the destruct ?initiate circuit between pins C and D of ID

Wiring?between the ejection seat switch and the ID1 shall be shielded. 3.4.3 3.5 3.5.1 Environmental Stimuli Control - The environmental stimuli of altitude and shock impact shall control the ID1 operation as follows: a. Altitude shall control operation of

30、the ID1 by providing a stimulus to interrupt the destruct initiate circuit internally between pin A of connector J1 and pin C of connector J2 while the equipment is at an altitude exceeding a specified value. Shock impact shall control operation of the ID1 by providing a stimulus to complete the des

31、truct initiate circuit internally when the equipment is subjected to shock impact exceeding a specified va lue. b. Detail Requirements - The ID1 shall meet the following requirements : Function - The ID1 shall function as a.centra1 destruct control for several associated equipments employing electri

32、cal destruct igniters and located in the same aircraft by controlling the transfer of destruct power from an associated destruct power source to the elec- trical destruct igniters in associated equipments in accordance with environmental stimuli of altitude and shock impact and associated destruct c

34、ters in associated equip- ments under any condition when the landing gear switch of Figure 2 is in the SAFE position. 3.5.3 Destruct Arm - The ID1 shall be armed and capable of initiating destruct action in associated equipments when the landing gear switch of Figure 2 is in the ARM position. 3.5.4

35、Destruct Initiate - The ID1 shall transfer destruct power from the destruct power source to electrical destruct igniters in associated equipments to initiate destruct action in the associated equipments under the following conditions: a. b. Pre- production tests shall include environmental tests . in accordance with the procedures of MIL-T-5422 and interference tests in accordance with MIL-1-6181. Preproduction Approval - Approval of the preproduction sample shall be by the procuring activity

38、 upon satis- factory completion of all tests. equipments shall be delivered prior to the approval of the preproduction sample. production equipment prior to the approval of the preproduction sample is at the contractors own risk. The approved preproduction sample shall be retained by the contractor

39、for his use in the fabrication and testing of equipment to be submitted for acceptance. The preproduction sample shall not be considered as one of the equipments under the contract. No production Prefabrication of . Production Equipments - Equipments supplied under the contract shall in all respects

40、, including design, construction, workmanship, performance and quality, be equivalent to the approved preproduction sample. Each equipment shall be capable of successfully passing the same tests as imposed on the preproduction sample. Evidence of non-compliance with the afore- * mentioned shall cons

41、titute cause for rejection. For equipment already accepted by the Government, it shall be the obligation of the contractor to make necessary corrections as approved by the procuring activity . Initial Production Tests - One of the first ten production equipments shall be selected and sent at the con

42、tractors expense to -a designated Government laboratory for tests. selected by the procuring activity after the equip- ment has successfully passed all individual tests. 45、to test _. the equipment. ! 4.3.3 4.3.4 4.4 Initial Production Sample Approval - Approval of the Initial Production Sample shall be by the procuring activity upon satisfactory completion of all tests. Any design, material or performance defect made evident during this test shall be corrected by the

46、contractor to the satisfaction of the procuring activity. to pass any f the tests shall be cause for deliveries of equipment under the contract to cease until proper corrective action is approved and accomplished. Corrective action shall also be accomplished on equipment previously accepted when req

47、uested by the Failure of the initial production sample - procuring activity. Reconditioninq of Initial Production Test Sample - On completion of the initial production test the equipment shall be reworked by the contractor by replacing all worn or damaged items. After reworking, the contractor shall

48、 resubmit the equipment for acceptance. Acceptance Test - The contractor shall furnish all samples and shall be responsible for accomplishing the acceptance tests. shall be under the supervision of the Government inspector. satisfactory to the procuring activity shall engage the service of a commerc

49、ial testing laboratory acceptable to the procuring activity. shall furnish test reports showing quantitative results for all acceptance tests. be signed by an authorized representative of the contractor or laboratory, as applicable.
