To meet the needs of the Naval service, it is imperative that reliaSility of operation be considered of prime importance in the design and manufactur

30、e of the equipment. The supplier shall employ all .reasonable methods possible in the process of manufacture to assure quality and maximum reliability. reliability under all service conditions to avoid marginal applications and provide adequate safety factors, it may be necessary to derate certain p

31、arts from their rated values when applying them to equipment circuits. The design shall include all possible features which will result in reliable and stable operation with minimum nee8 for adjustment and align- ment, ani with Mean-Time-Between-Failures (MTBF) not less than 2500 hours for the entir
