Use of dissimilar metals (as defined by MIL-STD-889) in contact shall be limited to applications where similar metals cannot be used due to peculiar design requirements. The protection of coupl

46、ed dissimilar metals shall be in accordance with MIL-STD-889 and requirement 16 of MIL-STD-454. 3,1.2.1.1.5 Barrier film bearinq coatinq. All bearings shall be processed in accordance with MIL-STD-1334. The coating material shall be in accordance with MIL-B-81744. All bearings, including chamfered r

47、aces or corners and interfacing parts, where applicable, shall be barrier coated. 3.1.2.1.2 Processes. 3.1.2.1.2.1 Finish and colors. The equipment and parts thereof shall be finished in accordance with MIL-E-5400, except that after pretreating the surface of cages and boxes, a minimum of one coat o

48、f corrosion inhibiting primer shall be applied to aluminum and noncorrosion resistant steel surfaces. In addition, the exterior surfaces of cases and boxes, except for electrical bonding surfaces, shall be painted with a minimum of two coats of enamel or urethene in accordance with MIL-C-83286, No l

49、acquer shall be used. The equipment color shall be Gold, Color No. 17043 in accordance with FED-STD-595. 3.1.2.1.3 Parts. 3.1.2.1.3.1 Selection of Darts, The number of different types of parts used shall be held to a minimum.
