REQUIREMENTS 3.1 Qualification,- The regulator furnished under this specification shall be a product which has been tested and has passed the qualification tests specified herein, and has been listed on or approved for listing on the ap
8、plicable Qualified Products List. 3.2 Materials.- 3.2.1 Nonferrous materials.- Nonferrous materials shall be used for all parts of the regulator except wher.e ferrous materials are essential. 3.2.2 Nonmetallic materials.- Any nonmetallic material that deteriorates or is adversely affected by continu
9、ed use with oxygen shall not be used. corrosion, dissimilar metals as defined in MS33586 shall qot be used in intimate contact with each other. 3.2.3 Dissimilar metals.- Unless suitably protected against electrolytic 3.2.4 Elastomers. - All elastomers , except silicone, shall have been manu- facture

17、xygen inlet.- A 200-mesh screen or an equivalent filter shall be installed in the oxygen inlet so as to filter all supplied oxygen entering the regulator. 3.3.1.2 Ambient air inlet screen.- A screen not finer than 100 mesh nor coarser then 30 mesh shall be installed in the ambient air inlet so as to
18、 filter a11 ambient air that mixes with oxygen. 3.3.2 Flow indicator connection.- The regulator shall contain a 1/8-inchY female pipe thread, flow indicator connection. to a chamber in the regulator in which the pressure varies at least O;5 psig in the pressure range of O to 10 psig as a direct resu
19、lt of a flow in comparison through the regulator outlet. The flow through the outlet causing the variation in the pressure shall be as a result of applying a negative pressure (see 6.3.5) to the outlet with the diluter control in the normal oxygen position.and in the 100-percent oxygen position. The
20、 pressure in the chamber shall not exceed 25 psig. The chamber shall be so located that the oxygen entrapped in the flow indicator line will not be lost during the exhalation cycle. The connection shall be connected to no flow 3.3.3 Emergency continuous flow bypass.- The regulator shall contain an i
21、ndependent bypass around the regulating and mixing mechanism that will provide a i4 fi. 5 liters per minute(1pm)flow of 100-percent oxygen through the regulator outlet. The flow through the passage shall be controlled by an emergency control as shown on ANOO. rotation of the control shall permit flo
22、w and a clock- wise rotation shall stop flow. 23、85308 3 m MIL-R-6018C( ASG) 5.2.1 Level A.- One hundred breathing regulators, packaged as specified in 5.1.1, shall be packed in overseas type exterior containers conforming to PPP-B-591, PPP-B-636, or class 2 of PPP-B-640. Closure and strapping of the containers shall be in accordance with the appl
24、icable container specification or appendix thereto. The gross weight of the packed shipping container shall not exceed the weight limitations of the applicable container specification. 5.2.2 Level B.- One hundred breathing regulators, packaged as specified in 5.1.1; shall be packed in domestic exter
25、ior containers confmming to PPP-B-591, PPP-B-636, or class 1 of PPP-3-640. Closure and strapping of the containers shall be in accordance with the applicable container specification or appendix thereto. The gross weight of the packed shipping container shall not exceed the weight limitations of the
26、applicable container specification. 5.2.3 Level C.- The packaged breathing regulators, which the carrier requires to be packed, shall be packed within exterior type shipping containers in a manner that will insure safe transportation at the lowest rate to the point of delivery. The ship- ment shall
27、conform to the minimum requirements of the rules and regulations applicable to the mode of transportation selected. 5.3 Marking.- Nomenclature tags shall be inserted in each bag. showing title, part number or other data as required by the procuring activity. and exterior containers shall be marked i
28、n accordance with MIL-STD-129. In addition, interior 5.3.1 Precautionary markina.- The following precautionary marking shall appear on each package: “CAUTION: DO NOT ALLOW CONTAMINANTS OF ANY KIND TO BE USED ON OR ABOUT THE OXYGEN REGULATORS.“ 6. NOTES 6.1 Intended use.- The regulator is intended fo
29、r use at altitudes where supple- mental oxygen is necessary for human respiration. breathing air in quantity as demanded by inhalation. 32、ASG) 6.3.2 Quality conformance inspection. - Quality conformance inspection , as used in this specification, is the process of examining and testing individual production line items or samples of production line items to determine if, according to the requirements of this specification, the items ar
33、e acceptable for delivery to the Government. 6.3.3 Flow measurements.- All reference in this specification to gas flow at altitudes will be understood to refer to volume expanded gas at altitudes atroom temp- erature, and not as corrected to standard sea level conditions. 6.3.4 Positive pressure. -
34、Positive pressure is pressure greater than the prw- sure surrounding the outside of the regulator. 6.3.5 Negative pressure.- Negative pressure is a pressure less than the pressure surrounding the out side of the- regulator. 6.4 =.- For the information of contractors and contracting officers, any of
35、the data specified in applicable documents listed in section 2 of this specification or referenced lower-tier documents need not be prepared for the Government unless specified in the contract or order. The data t be furnished should be listed on DD Form 1423 (Contractor Data Requirements List) , wh
36、ich should be attached to and made a part of the contract or order, NavWeps Form 4200/15 (Drawings, Lists, and Specifica- tions Required) should be attached where applicable. 6.5 Qualification.- With respect to products requiring qualification, awards will be made only for such products as have, pri
37、or to the time set for opening of bids, been tested and approved for inclusion in the applicable Qualified Products List, whether or not such products have actually been so listed by that date. The attention of the suppliers is called to this requirement, and manufacturers are urged to arrange to ha
38、ve the products that they propose qualification in order that they may be eligible to be awarded contracts or orders for the products covered by this specification.
