When specified in the contract (eee6.2.1), a sample shall be subjected to first article inspection(eee 4.3 and 6.4).3.2 . In the selection of parts, the primeconsiderations are fulfillment of
20、 performance requirements,logistics supportability, and reliability aseurance in a costeffective design. The following shall govern in parts selection.a. Subassemblies shall be designed and fabricated to be .reparable. Maximum economic etandardization of parte shall bsexercieed. Parte selection shal

Nonstandard parts and nonestablished reliabilitymilitary standard parts shall be screened to the requirements ofthe most similar military standard or standard nonestablishedreliability part.3.2.1 Nonstandard Darts. Approval for the use ofnonstandard parts shall
23、 be in accordance with MIL-E-5400 andMIL-STD-965, Procedure 1.3.2.2 plicroelectronic device selection. Microelectronicdevices shall be selected and approved in accordance withMIL-STD-454, Requirement 64.3.2.3 Semiconductor selection. Semiconductors shall conformto MIL-S-19500 with preference to MIL-
24、STD-701 types. Only JAN orhigher quality devices shall be used.3.2.4 Modules. The electronic portions of the equipmentshall be functionally modularized in accordance withMIL-STD-2084 . Conformal coatings, encapsulant, embedments, orpotting material used with modular assemblies (containingintegrated
25、circuits and discrete parts) shall be removablewithout damage to the assembly.* 3.3 Pesi.an and construction. The equipment shall conformwith all applicable requirements of MIL-E-5400, MIL-STD-454 (lessRequirement 5), MIL-STD-275 , and MIL-P-5511o for design,construction and workmanship, and the man
26、ufacturing requirementsof WS-6536 for electrical soldering workmanship.3.3.1 Total weiqht. Unless otherwiee specified in thecontract or purchase order (see 6.2.1), the contractor shallconduct a reliability program using MIL-STD-785 . Task 104 ofMIL-STD-785 shall be implemented to establish and maintain aclosed-loop f
28、ailure reporting system. This system shall identifyfailure trends and patterns at all levels of assembly prior toacceptance of the hardware and shall also identify failure trendsrelated to field failures throughout the contract period. Thereliability program shall include provisions for assuring the

30、afety. The eguipment safety requirements shall bein accordance with MIL-STD-454, Requirement 1, and MIL-STD-1472 .3.3.3 Cables and corm ectors. The equipment shall providefor the use of cables and connectors in accordance withMIL-E-5400.3.3.3.1 erconn ectina ca. The eguipment shall becapable of regu
31、ired operation using external wiring in accordancewith the applicable requirements of MIL-W-5088. The externalwiring shall be unshielded, except as necessary to meetinterference control requirements and provided that assembly ofcables and plugs can be accomplished easily. External cables andthat por
32、tion of connectors attached to the cables shall not besupplied as part of the eguipment.3.3.3.2. Conne cto . Connectors shall meet the environ-mental and maintenance tooling requirements of MIL-C-38999. Thedesign of connectors shall be such that improper assembly,mating or installation is impossible

34、r salt spray test, andprovide 360 degrees circumferential grounding techniques forgrounding prior to contact engagement. Non-scoop-proof connectorsused on previously designed RT or controls shall not be ,changed.3.3.4 Control Panels. All control panels shall conform tothe applicable requirements of
35、MIL-C-6781 (Type 1) to the extentspecified herein. If changed from a previously qualified design,the configuration of the panel shall be acceptable to theprocuring activity prior to first article testing.3.3.4.1 Watertiqhtness. That portion of the panel in frontof the control mounting surfaces shall
36、 be watertight when testedin accordance with Method 512.2 of MIL-STD-81O. Watercondensation may occur within the equipment; however, performanceshall not be degraded due to water condensation. All watercondensate shall be allowed to escape.a71 3.3.4.2 Control Danel liqhtinq. Console mounted units an
37、dremote control panels shall conform to MIL-P-7788,l-w,Class l-R,1-BW, or Air Force White( “ accordance withMIL-L-2?i60) , with either 5 or 28 volt c and dc) lampsinstalled. Separate input power pins shall be provided for thetwo lighting systems. Color of panel lighting shall be inaccordance with MI
38、L-C-25050. (See 3.5.1.6 and 3.5.2.7 foravailable color options.) ANVIS panels shall be illuminated inaccordance with MIL-L-85762 with glare resistant lens.3.3.5 Interchanqeabilitv. The eguipment shall meet theinterchangeability requirements 6f MIL-E-5400.3.3.6 Interference control. Generation of rad
39、io inter-ference by the equipment, and vulnerability of theradioequipment tointerference, shall be controlled within the combinedeeverest, limits of MIL-STD-461, Notices 3 and 4, tests CEO1,CE02, CE03, CE04, CE05, CE06, CSO1, CS02, CS03, CS04, CS06, RS02,RS03 , RE02 , and RE02.1 as modified below, a
40、nd when tested inaccordance with 4.3.11.a. w. Spurious signal rejection shall be asepecified in 3.4.22.6.b. . Receiver spurious output at 1090 t 4MHz , with the eguipment in Standby or Normal but nottransmitting, shall be not greater than 15 dB microvolts/1 MHzand 36 dB microvolts/1 MHz at all other frequencies.3.3.6.1 . Insofar as practical,connector pin assignments shall be such that the
44、most susceptiblecircuits shall be on pins located at the connector center withless susceptible circuits graduated outward.interference sources and power wiring shall bethe connector periphery.Contacts carryinglocated on or near3.3.6.2 . All rack and consolemounted units shall be electrically grounde
45、d in accordance withMIL-C-6781. Bonding to an external ground plane shall be inaccordance with MI1.I-B-5087, Class R, requirements. Directcurrent (de) bonding resistance to chassie, for console andcontrol panel connectors and component, and resistance to theexternal ground plane through any mounting
46、 provisions, shall notexceed 2.5 milliohms.3.3.7 . When specified in the contract (see6.2.1), a Maintainability Program shall be conducted inaccordance with MIL-STD-470 (Task 104). Construction andpackaging, provisions for test points, and other maintainabilityparameters, shall be in accordance with
47、 MIL-STD-2084. Built-in-test performance shall be in accordance with 3.4.19.3.3.7.1 tv desi. Al1 electrical orelectronic circuite and parts shall be packaged on replaceableand reparable, plug-in modules. Circuit breakers, indicators,and other items which may logically be bolted and soldered, orother
48、wise more rigidly electrically and mechanically fastened tothe control housing or eguipment chassis shall not be consideredmodules. SRAS (Shop Replaceable Assemblies) shall be QRAs (QuickReplaceable Assemblies) as specified in MIL-STD-2076. SRAarrangement shall be such that access to any SRA does no
49、t reguireremoval of adjacent SRAS or parts other than access panels. Theuae of a special tool or tools for SRA removal is prohibited.All access panels and dust covers shall be retained by captivefasteners. Modules and connectors shall be keyed to preventimproper insertion. Fuses may be used in lieu of circuitbreakers.3.3.7.2 Ad3ustment s. No adjustment or alignment shall bereguired at the organizational
