The igniter assembly shall be subjected to the ident

9、ical temperature conditioning as the rocket motors. 4.7,l.l Preproduction temperature conditioning, Preproduction rocket motors to be subjected to static firing shall be conditioned at the temperatures specified in table III. 4.7.1.2 Production temperature Conditioning. Production rocket motors to b

10、e subjected to static firing shall be conditioned at the following temperatures: a. Sample 1: 0F k 5F b. Sample 2: 140F f 5F 4,7.2 Thermal shock, The rocket motors as specified in table III shall undergo thermal shock testing in accordance with MIL-STD-81 O, Method 503.1 with the following changes:

11、a, Conditioning temperatures shall be 0F (-18C) and i- 140F (+60C). b. Motors shall be maintained at the specified temperature for 4 hours. 4,7.3 Vibration, The rocket motors as specified in table IIIshall be vibrated in accordance with MIL-STD-810, Method 514,2, Equipment Class 4, Mounting-A, Figur

12、e 514.3, Curve C. 4.7.4 Rain, humidity, and salt fog. Temperature conditioned rocket motors, with the igniter assembly installed, shall be tested for resist- ance to rain, humidity, and salt- fog in accordance with MIL-STD-810, Methods 50601, 507.1, and 509.1, respectively, as specified in table II.

13、 4,7.5 Acceleration test, Temperature conditioned rocket motors shall be acceleration tested in accordance with MIL-STD-810, Method 513.2, Procedure I, with the following changes (See table III): a. Igniter Mk 296 shall not be installed during testing. 4.8 . Ballistic tests. 4.8,l Ball istic requirements, Rocket motors shall mee

15、t the ballistic requirements as specified in table I when static fired in accordance with 4.8.2 4.8.2 Static firing, 4.8.2.1 Test equipment required. A suitable dual channel test standi riequipped with a recording oscil lograph, and instrumentation for measuring Fthrust and time, shall be used for f

16、iring the rocket motors. to static fwned in accordance with 4.7.1, 4.8.2.2 Temperature conditioning. All rocket motors to be subjected 4.8.2.3 Oscillograph record, . An oscillograph record of the thrust developed by the rocket motor unit shall be obtained during the firing test. 4.8.2.4 Firing, The

17、rocket motor shall be mounted on the test stand ,specified in 4.8.2.1 and fired not later than 30 minutes after removal from the temperature conditioning box. Units shall be fired by energizing the igniter circuit with 28 volts direct current at 13 f 2 amperes. 4.9 Ballistic performance, Acceptable

18、ballistic performance shall be determined by comparison of ballistic requirements of table I with the values of the test data obtained from the rocket motor static test firing. The data may be taken from the actual oscillograph record or by digital data processing techniques, provided that such tech

19、- niques have prjor approval of procuring activity. (See 6.5) 5. PACKAGING 5,l Preservation and packaging. 5.1.1 Level A. In addition to the following, Level A Packaging shall be in accordance with the Gode of Federal Regulations 49 CFR 171 -1 90. 5.1.2 Unit acka in Rocket motors shall be unit packa

Rocket motors packaged as specified in 5.1

21、shall be packed in accordance with the drawings listed on DL 1255AS100 or DL 1255AS200. 5.3 Marking. In addition to any special marking required by the contract or order (See 6.2), unit packages and shipping containers shall be marked in accordance with MIL-STD-129, Al 1 information appearing on the

22、 rocket motor shall be stenciled or otherwise marked on the exterior of the rocket motor package. 6. ,NOTES 6.1 Intended use. The Rocket Motor is designed for use primarily as a high thrust, short duration power plant to impart initial acceler- ation to various types of drones and test sleds. 6,2 Or

27、nts identified below will be developed as specified by an approved Data Item Description (DID) (DD Form 1664) and delivered in accordance with the approved Contract Data Requirements List (DD Form 1423) incorporated into the contract, When the provisions of DAR-7-104.9(n) are not invoked, the data s

28、pecified below will be delivered by the contractor in accordance with the contract require- ments. 30、rust duration shall be measured on the time axis from the point at which the tangent to the initial rise of the curve crosses the zero thrust fine to the point at which the tangent to the final decline of the curve crosses the zero thrust line, 6.3.1.2 Total impulse, The area under the thrust-line c

31、urve within the limits speclfied in 6.3.1.1 shall be taken as the total impulse. 6.3.1.3 Avera e thrust. The ratio of the total impulse to the thrust duration + sha 1 be taken as the average thrust, 6,3,1,4 Ignition interval. The elapsed time from the closing of the firing circuit to the point where

When a first article is required, it shall be tested and approved under the appropriate provisions of 7-104.55 of the Defense Acquisition Regulation. The first article should consist of 10 unit(s).
