5、ncy by the contracting officer). 3, REQUIREMENTS 3-1 Materials, Components of the sustainer test stands shall be made of materials as specified on the applicable drawings. Alloy composition, hardness, and other characteristics of all materials shall comply with the provisions of the pertinent specif
6、ication and as indicated on the applicable drawing. 3.2 Design changes, No design change shall be made in any component which will alter the functional characteristics of the complete equipment. Design changes not in the foregoing category but intended only to simplify fabrication, may be made only

Where tolerances are not given, the dimensions shall be adhered to within limitations customary in good commercial practice. 3.4 Finish. Metal components shall
9、be finished in accordance with requirements on the pertinent drawings. The surfaces of all components shall be free from burrs, roughness, and excessive oxides or corrosion. 3. 5 Markings, All identification nameplates and markings indicated on the drawings shall be presect and shall be clearly legi
10、ble. 3.6 Workmanship. The stands shall be uniform in appearance and of good quality, comparable to general commercial practice. They shall be free from cracks, burrs, splits, sharp edges and other deiects which may hinder their functional operation or be injurious to handling personnel, 4. QUALITY A
11、SSURANCE PROVISIONS 4.1 Contractors responsibility, Unless otherwise specified herein the supplier is responsible for the performance of all inspection require- ments, prior to submission for Government inspection and acceptance, Except as otherwise specified, the supplier may utilize his own facili
12、ties or any commercial laboratory acceptable to the Government. Inspection records of the examinations and tests shall be kept complete and available to the Government as specified in the contract or order. Lot size for examinqtion shall be the individual sustainer test stand, 4.4 Examination, The sample stands shall be carefully inspe
14、cted and measured to determine conformance with the requirements of this specifica- tion and the applicable drawings. 4.5 Packaging, The inspector shall ascertain that the packaging methods used will comply with the general requirements of this specification. 5. PREPARATION FOR DELIVERY 5. I Preserv
15、ation and packaging, The iift trucks shall be par-ked for domestic shipment in such manner as to insure acceptance by cownxon carrier for safe transportation at the lowest rate to the point of delivery, protection from physical damage must be provided including protection against damage by weather.

18、ckaging shall be in accordance with Method III of Specification MIL-P-116, 5.1.3.4 Intermediate package, Not applicable, 5.2 Packing. 5.2.1 Level A. 5.2.1.1 Exterior containers. The sustainer test stand packaged as described in 5.1 shall be packed in a wood box conforming to specification PPP-B-621,
19、 Class 2, Style 2 or Style 4. Procurement documents should specify the title, number, and date of this specification. 6.4 Options. Desired options shall be forwarded to the contracting officer prior to use b
