In the event of a conflict between the te

19、xt of this specification and the references cited herein, (except for associated detail specifications, specification sheets or MS standards), the text of this specification shall take pre- cedence. Nothing in this specification, however, shall supersede applicable laws and regulations unless a spec

20、ific exemption has been obtained. These documents also may be available in or through 3. REQUIREMENTS 3.1 First article 3.1.1 Sandwich panel, large. One 4-ft (1.219-m) by 8-ft (2.438-m) aluminum face honeycomb sandwich panel fabricated in accordance with the requirements specified in 3.3.1 shall be

21、subjected to the panel shear test in 4.8.1 and shall be subsequently cut into smaller specimens for other panel testing (see 4.8.2 and 4.8.8). 3.1.2 Assemblies. When specified in the contract or purchase order, sample shelter assembly(ies) shall be subjected to first article inspection (see 4.4 and

22、6.3). 3.2 Materials. Materials shall conform to the requirements specified herein and in Data Lists DL80A5022A00 01, DL80A5022A03 57, and DL80A5022A0164. 3.3 Design and construction 3.3.1 Sandwich panels. Sandwich panels shall be fabricated and inspected.ia accordance with the appropriate materials

The followinq msterial requirements are the minimum necess

24、ary to insure the shexter asse-mbly fully meets all requirements stated herein. 13.3.1.1.1 Sandwich panel shear strenqth. The adhesive bond begween the panel facinus and core shall be sufficient to allow the care to work to its failinq shear stress. sandwich panel shear strenqtij at normal temperatu

A 24-inch (in) (0.610-m) square sample of all exterior shelter panel(s) shall withstand a blow from a 70-lb (31.8-kiloqram

26、 (kq.) steel cylinder (3 in (76.2 millimeter (mm) in diameter with a hemispherical end), dropped from a heiqht of 30 in (0.762 m) (16 in (0.406m) for 2.5# density honeycomb), impactinq the hemispherical end without rupture to either skin and no delamination between skins and core outside a 3-in (76.

27、2-mm) radius from the center of impact. Localized crushinq of the core is allowable. Testinq shall be in accordance with 4.8.2. 3.3.1.2 Surface preparation of. aluminum alloys to be adhesively bonded in honeycomb.shelter panels. Primer shall be a sprayable, pigmented liquid primer for useon aluminum alloys which are to be adhesively bonded in the fabri- cation .

35、ive-bond, aluminum- faced, nonmetallic, honeycomb-core sandwich panels for the shelter assembly shall comply with standards contained in ASTM E-874-82, 3.3.1.5 Adhesive bondinq of aluminum facinqs to nonmetallic 3.3 . 1.6 Core splice adhesive for honevcomb sandwich shelter panels. The adhesive shall

36、 be suitable for forminq.bonds which can withstand lonq combinations of stress, temperature, and relative humidity expected to be encountered in service. The adhesive shall be used for bondinq core seqments, bondinq core seqments to edqe members, and inteqral members in a honeycomb sandwich panel. T

37、he adhesive shall not allow the transfer of water from one part of the panel to another either throuqh or alonq the line af the adhesive 3.3.2 Fastenings and joints. Welding, riveting and sealinq of joints shall comply with the applicable standards and drawinqs in Data List DL80A5022A0001. 3.3.3 Pan

38、el flatness. Panel surfaces shall not be cupped or bowed in excess of 0.125 in (3.175 mm) when measured with a 48-in (1,219-m) lonq straiqhtedqe. Panels shall be tested in accordance with 4.8.3. 3.3.4 Interchanqeability. Like demountable hardware and components of the shelter assembly shall be inter

39、chanqeable. 3.3.5 Ease of operation. The demountable side panels and air conditioner panels shall permit repetitive installation and removal without bindinq or other lss of serviceability. shail operate smoothly, .maintaininq adequate sealinq at all times. forklift pockets in accordance with the app

When specified (see 6.2),-the blackout curtain kit shall be manufactured in accordancekith Data-Lists DL80A5022A0357. the exit of liqht from internal to the shelter assembly to external durinq entry or egress by personnel

The blackout curtain shall be constructed from black nylon fabric, 2.2 ounces per square yard-I74.6 qrams (qm) per square meter) and coated with neoprene, 10.5 ounces per square yard (356 qm per square meter). electrical

44、service entrance consisting of a 3-phase, 5-wire, we- connected, 120/208-volt (V), 60-hertz (Hz) , 60-ampere (A) circuit. The service shall be protected by a 3-phase, 60-A circuit breaker. Branch circuits to liqht fixtures and convenience outlets shall be protected by 15-A, sinqle-phase circuit brea

45、kers. All wirinq shall conform to NFPA 70-78 and shall be housed in an electrical metallic tubinq conduit. The service entrance shall have one qxick discon- nect inlet (MS9055C32412P) and one quick disconnect outlet (MS9055C3242S) which are to be wired in parallel with phase rotation kept the same o

46、n input and output. All liqht fixtures, load center, distribution wirinq and wirinq devices shall be surface mounted. Eiqht surface mounted, 3-pronq, 120-V, 15-A, 60-Hz duplex convenience outlets shall be provided. Eiqht 2-bar, 40-watt (W), rapid start, surface mounte fluorescent liqht fixtures shal

47、l be provided, .switchable from a sinqle switch mounted as shown on the applicable drawings Testinq shall be in accordance with 4,8.6. The blackout curtain shall prevent 3.3.8 Electrical. The shelter assembly shall contain an 3.3.9 Levelinq. The shelter assembly shall have a device at each corner to

48、 indicate level when the floor is level to within 1/4 in in 6 ft (6.4 mm in 1.829 m). Levelinq shall be accomplished utilizinq jacks and correspondinq fittinqs at the corners. The jacks and fittinqs shall withstand the force applied _ durinq the test specified in 4.8.7. 3.3,lO Fire resistance. The s

49、helter assembly shall be fire resistant and shall meet the test requirements of 4.8.8. 3.3.11 Coast Guard certification. The shelter assembly shall be certified as a 8-ft X 8-ft X 20-ft, 1C container for its maximum rated load in accordance with the applicable Coast Guard reqlation for such containers for all types of transport, includ- inq motor carrier (truck), sea, railroad, and air. Qualification shall be in accordance with
