5、HALL BE EQUIPPED WITH CRATE ADAPTERS MK 112 MOD O IN ACCORDANCE WITH WR-54/209. THE PROCEDURES AND PRACTICES HEREIN ARE INTENDED FOR&, 42,44 AND 45 FT. VAN WE TRAILERS WITH NAILABLE FLOORS. TRAILERS SHALL HAVE THEIR AXLES LOCATED IN THE WESTERN“ POSITION (AT THE EXTREME REAR OF THE TRAILER). DO NOT
6、USE TRAILER5 WITH ROLL UP DOORS. TRACTOR SHOULD HAVE SLIDING 5TH WHEEL. 3. THE LENGTH OF THE STRUTS (PIECE 8 OF DETAIL D, PIECE 11 OF DETAIL E AND PIECE 5 OF DETAIL J) SHALL BE SUFFJCIENT LENGTH TO CAUSE THE FILLER ASSEMBLY TO BEAR AGAINST THE MINE CRATE AND THE TRAILER WALL. ONE HALF INCH SLACK IS
7、PERMITTED. THE LENGTHS OF FILLER ASSEMBLIES, DETAILS E AND J MAY BE INCREASED TO 57 1/2 TO ACCOMMODATE TWO CRATES PROVIDED AN ADDITIONAL STRUT IS ADDED AT THE MID-POINT. TRAILERS SHORTER THAN 40 i. MAY BE USED. LOAD, BLOCK AND BRACE ACCORDING TO THE PRINCIPLES OF THIS STANDARD. VEHICLE CAPACITY, GRO
8、SS VEHICLE WEIGHT AND AXLE WEIGHT REQUIREMENTS SHALL BE OBSERVED. THE LENGTH OF THE STRUT, PIECE 5 OF DETAIL C (PAGE 5 ), SHALL BE SUFFICIENT LENGTH TO CAUSE THE BLOCKING ASSEMBLY TO FILL THE VOID BETWEEN THE LADING AND THE TRAILER DOORS WHEN THE DOORS ARE CLOSED. WHEN THE SPACE BETWEEN THE LADING A
9、ND THE REAR OF THE TRAILER IS GREATER THAN 36 INCHES, BLOCK THE REqR OF THE LOAD AS SHOWN ON PAGE B. TABLES I, II AND III PROVIDE THE CORRECT LOAD PATTERN NUMBER TO BE USED WHEN SHIPPING THE UNDERWATER MINE MK 55 AND MODS. TO USE
13、THESE TABLES - A. DETERMINE THE DODIS/NALC NO. OF THE MINE. B. SELECT THE TABLE USING THIS NUMBER. TABLE P PROVIDES THE PRESCRIBED LOAD PATTERNS. AFTER DETERMINING THE CORRECT LOAD PATTERN NUMBER (SEE NOTE 1 2. ABOVE), FIND THE CORRECT LOAD PATTERN TO USE OPPOSITE THE LOAD PATTERN NUMBER. 3. 4. BLOC
