5、including reaching and tiering trucks. The performance requirements to be tested are cited in each specification covering this type of equipment. The procedures outlined in each test form are intended as guides. Alter- nate test procedures may be substituted providing the same results are achieved.

6、However, any deviation from these methods and procedures will be subject to approval by the test officer under whose direction the tests are being conducted. The truck under test shall begin each lap at the point labele

9、d “START” on Drawing C. As the operator starts the truck he shall oper- ate the horn for approximately 1 second. The test load will have been placed in this location on the stack marked “X.” The truck shall make a 90” right hand turn in 1 motion without backing;

11、proceed to the face of the pallet stack marked “X”; and remove the loaded pallet. It shall back out of the stack aisle into the main aisle, making a 90” left hand turn in 1 motion, without going forward, and proceed rear- ward along the main aisle in the portion of the course marked “B until it reac

12、hes the second pallet area. The truck shall proceed rearward .to a point beyond the pallet area opening, re- verse its direction, and move forward to the face of the pallet stack marked “Y,” making the 90” right hand turn in 1 motion without backing. It shall place the test load on top of the pallet

13、 stack marked “Y.” The truck shall back out of the stack aisle into the main aisle making the 90” left hand turn in 1 motion without going forward, and proceed forward along the main aisle in the portion of the course marked “C” until it reaches the third pallet area. The truck shall make a 9Q” righ

14、t hand turn in 1 motion without backing, and pick up a test load which has been placed in the location marked “Z.” It. shall back out into the main aisle, making the 90” right hand turn in 1 motion, and proceed further along the main aisle in the portion of the course marked “D” until it reaches the

15、 portion of the course marked “E,” containing the obstacle blocks. The obstacle blocks shall be traversed by the truck being driven through this area in a straight line so that its left wheels pass over the first block and the right wheels pass over the second block. This part of the test may be con

16、ducted at low speed with the transmission in low gear. However, the truck shall not be stopped prior to or while going over the blocks. The truck shall proceed further along the main aisle in the portions of the course marked “F” and “G” until it reaches the position on the ramp labeled “Stopping Po

17、int.” The driver shall stop the truck, shift gears, if the truck has a manual shift trans- mission, and then resume ascending the ramp. After the top of the ramp is reached, shift back to high gear and proceed along the main aisle in the portion of the course marked “J,” “K,” and “L.” When the truck

18、 reaches the portion of the course marked “M,” the operator shall stop. On every other lap, the operator shall turn off the ignition and restart the engine. After completion of this pwtion of the test proceed along the main aisle and start the next cycle. All stops shall be at the maxi- mum safe dec

19、eleration rate. The operator shall actuate and release the parking brake at least once duing each circuit, The next step is to re-enter the portion of the course marked “A.” In portions “A,” “B,” “C” and “D, the procedure shall be the same as described in preceding para- graphs, except that the truc

20、k shall place a test load at each point where it was pre- viously indicated that the truck picked one up, and pick up a load where it was pre- viously indicated one was placed. Maneuvers in the balance of the course beyond the por- tion marked “D,” shall be the same as de- scribed in preceding parag

21、raphs. One half of the total number of circuits shall be traversed in the oppostite direction with all operations reversed accordingly. This may be accomplished after completion of each 8 hour operating day or multiple thereof. That is, 50% of the circuits shall be accomplished in the clockwise dire

22、ction and 50 % in the counter-clockwise direction or vice versa. The test cour shall be measured at the end of each oper- ating day of the endurance test. This check shall be performed in accordance with pro- cedures outlined in Test Form No. 2. 5.2.2.6 Operating limitatians. The truck un- der test

23、shall not be permitted to leave the bounds circumscribed in Drawing C, nor shall the procedure requirements specified herein be altered. 5.2.2.7 Failure durhg endurance testing. During the endurance testing, minor ad- justments or repairs will. be permitted at the discretion of the test officer prov

24、ided they are not repetitive in nature. Minor breakdowns which are repetitive; and ma- jor breakdowns shall be cause for rejection of the truck. 5.3 Post-test. The post-test shall be con- ducted after completion of the endurance test; or if the truck fails the enzurance test, the inspection portion

25、of this procedure shall be conducted after such failure. The post-test consist of 2 parts. A. Pst-test inspection tests B. Post-test inspection 5.3.1 Post-tesi inspection tests. These tests shall be performed in accordance with the applicable procedures provided in the test forms. The truck should b

26、e given the main- tenance service and inspection in accordance with the applicable Maintenance Service In- spection sheet. Each of the questions con- tained in the Post-Test Inspection Test Check Sheet shall be answered by placing an “X” in the column headed “Yes” or “NO,” as appropriate. After comp

27、letion of the Post-Test Inspection Test Check Sheet, any “X” in the “No” column will be cause for rejection of the truck under test. 5.3.2 Post-test inspection. The truck shall be examined and applicable notations sfiall be made in the Post-Test Inspection Form. 5.3.3 Commutator damage: Electric Tru

28、cks. During the course of the post-test inspec- tion, drive motor(s) shall be examined for excessive pitting of commutator bars. Evi- dence of such shall be cause for rejection, subject to correction of the vehicle under test. A report of the findings of this exami- nation shall be made a part of th

44、T- COLLAPSED MAST HEIGHT-DRIFT Purpose : To determine whether the truck has the required maximum lift, free lift height and collapsed mast height and whether the hydraulic system can hold the rated load without drifting more than specified. Test Description : Place the truck carrying the specified r

45、ated test load on a flat level surface with the mast in true vertical posi- tion and with forks fully lowered. Center of mass of test load shall be on the longi- tudinal centerline of truck and at rated load uenter. 3. Measure the true vertical distance from floor to the top surface of the forks at

46、24 inches load center. (This is the fyee lift height.) 4. Raise test load to the highest obtainable position, and measure the true vertical distance from floor to the top surface of the forks at the 24 inch load center. (This is maximum lift height.) 5. Complete data form. Test Procedure: 1. Measure

47、 the true vertical distance from floor to uppermost projection of the up- right assembly. (This is the actua1 col- lapsed mast height.) 2. Raise load until the inner mast begins to exceed the specified collapsed mast height. The following procedure shall be conducted as part of the pretests and repe

48、ated during post tests. 6. Raise rated load to maximum lift height; mark reference point on mast. Hold for 5 minutes and measure downward drift. 7.
