Y.) 3. REQUIREMENTS 3.1 Preproduction samples.-After award of contra
14、ct, the contractor shall proceed with fabrication of material and shall assem- ble samples of each equipment on order, using tools and methods similar to those which will be used in quantity production. The quantity of samples shall be as follows: For workmanship and performance : 2 test sets, shutt
15、er speed (Camera TS-703( )/UF). These samples, together with test data show- ing complete compliance with this specifica- tion, shall be submitted to the Government agency as specified (see 6.2). The test data shall comprise an engineering report stat- ing all essential details of the testing equip-
16、 ment (manufacturers model, serial number, and date of calibration), test procedure, ob- servations and other data, calculations, and test results, Approval of the submitted sam- ples shal not be construed as authorizing any deviations from the requirements of this specification. 8.1.2 Mayking and s
17、hipping.-?reproduc- tion samples shall be marked and shipped by the contractor as specified (see 6.2). 3.1.8 Approval. - Preproduction samples will be inspected by the Government agency, for compliance with the applicable specifica- tiom and drawings. if any samples are is- approved, the contractor
18、may be required to igubmit additional samples until the required quantity of satisfactory samples has been submitted. Where space is limited, the reference designation of the fuse holder or lamp socket may be omitted to provide space for the reference designa- tion of the fuse or lamp. 3.12.4.4 Electron tubes.-Reference desig- nations shall not be marked on electron tubes. The type numb
33、er and reference desig- nation of each tube shall be marked adjacent to the tube. Type numbers of tubes shall be as marked on the tubes except that the letters “JAN” shall be omitted. Where space is limited, the reference designation for the socket may be omitted to provide space for the reference d

When space is not avail- able for marking the required tube refer- ence designations and type numbers, a suit- able label showing location of the tubes and the corresponding reference designations shall be mounted inside the component where it will be readily

46、s specified in 6.1.1, shall be packed in substantial containers of the type, size, and kind commonly used for the purpose, in such a manner as to insure acceptance at and safe delivery to the desig- nated point by common or other carrier at the lowest rate. For Air Force use the shut- ter speed test
47、er shall be packed in boxes con- forming to Specification NN-B-601 or NN- B-621. 5.2.2 For export shipment. - Place the shutter speed tester packaged as specified in 5.1.2.6 and consolidated package in 5.1.2.4 within a wood cleated plywood, nailed wood or wire bound wood box conforming to he require
48、ments of Specification JAN-P-106, JAN-P-106 and MIGB-107 respectively. Fabricate the boxes to fit contents snugly. The approximate gross weight of any exte- rior shipping container shall not exceed 150 pounds. Place technical manual packaged as specified in 6.1.2.1 between the packaged item and lid
49、of the shipping container. Close and strap the shipping container as specified in the appendix of the applicable box specifica- tion. (Shipments consigned to depots shall not require strapping.) 5.3 Marking for shipment.-Interior pack- ages and exterior shipping containers shall be marked in accordance with applicable pro- visions of MIGSTD-129. 6. NOTES 6.1 Intended we.-The Test Sets, Shutter Speed (Camera Ts-703 ( ) /UF) are intended for use in
