SCOPE 1.1 Scope - The test equipment covered by this specification shall be for shop use and shall support, position, and electrical

8、Copies of this specification and applica- ble specifications required by contractors in connection with specific procurement functions may be obtained upon application to the Command- ing Officer, Naval Supply Depot, Code DCS, 5801 Tabor Avenue, Philadelphia 20, Pennsylvania. 3. REQUIREMENTS 3.1 Par

9、ts and Materials - In the selection of parts and materials, fulfillment of major design objectives shall be the prime consideration. shall conform to Specification MIL-T-21200. Specification MIL-T-21200 shall be limited to those values, styles, tolerances, etc., set forth in MIL-STD-242. Parts and m

10、aterials requirements Parts selected from specifications called out in 3.1.1 Nonstandard Parts and Material Approval - Approval for the use of non- standard parts and materials shall be obtained as outlined in Specification MIL- T-21200. 3. 2 Design and Construction - The equipment shall conform wit

11、h all the applica- ble requirements of Specifications MIL- T-21200 and MIL-H- 15362 for design, construction and workmanship except as otherwise specified herein. 3.2.1 Total Weight - The total weight of the equipment, including cables, shall be Cables and Connectors - The equipment shall provide fo

12、r the use of cables a minimum consistent with good design and shall not exceed 500 pounds. and connectors in accordance with Specification MIL-T- 21200. 3.2.2 3.2.2.1 Cable Assemblies, Power Electrical - Applicable input power cable and connections shall. conform to MS 21993. 13、ResaleNo reproduction or networking permitted without license from IHS-,-,-MIL- T-23693(WEP) 3. 2.3 Interchangeability - The equipment shall meet the interchangeability require- ments as defined in Specification MIL-T-21200. 3.2.4 Interference Control - The generation of radio interference by the eq

14、uipment and the vulnerability of the equipment to radio interference shall be controlled within the limits of Specification MIL-1-61 81. 3. 2.5 Nomenclature and Nameplates - Nomenclature assignment and nameplate approval for equipment identification shall be in accordance with Specification MIL-N- 1

15、8307. 3.2.6 Standard Conditions - The following conditions shall be used to establish nor- mal performance characteristics under standard conditions and for making laboratory bench tests. Temperature Room ambient (30“ rt 10OC) Altitude Normal ground Vibration None 2. Humidity Room ambient Service Co

16、nditions - The test equipment shall operate satisfactorily under any of the environmental service conditions or reasonable combination of these conditions as specified in Specification MIL- T-21200 for Class 3 equipment, except as modified herein. 3.2.7 3.2.8 input power requirements of its own, but

17、 shall serve to connect the primary input power to the equipment under test. Primary Input Power Requirements - This equipment has no appreciable 3.2.8. 1 Voltage Protection - The equipment shall not be damaged when exposed to transient voltages as defined in MIL-STD-704, and shall automatically res

18、ume normal operation when the voltage returns within limits of normal operation. 3.3 Performance - The performance of the equipment shall be as set forth below. Unless otherwise specified, these requirements shall apply under both standard and extreme service conditions. When reduced performance req

19、uirements for service conditions are accept- able, such variation will be specified. 3.4 Detail Requirements . 3.4.1 Workbench Mounted Components - The Test Harness Workbench Components shall meet the following requirements: 3.4.1.1 Function - The Test Harness Workbench Components consist of a termi

20、nal panel, brackets and fixtures for mounting the radar system components to be serviced or tested. In addition, manually operated synchros provide roll, pitch and compass excitation voltages to simulate the functions of Stabilization Data Generator CN-221/APN-59, for Antenna AS-653/APN-59. 3.4.1.2

21、Form Factor - The Test Harness Workbench components are mounted on a standard Navy Type-kbench which is not supplied as a part of this equipment. 3.4.1.3 Contents - The Test Harness Workbench components shall consist of the following assemblies and fixtures: 3.4.1. 3.1 Terminal Panel - The Terminal

23、ly - The Top Panel Assembly consists of the following items attached thereto. CONTROL QUANTITY FUNCTION Circuit Breaker 1 To provide 25 to 29 volts DC and to open circuit if more than 10 amperes is drawn. Circuit Breaker 1 To provide 110 to 120 volts, 380 to 420 dps, single phase AC and to open circ

24、uit if more than 10 amps is drawn, Circuit Breaker 1 Compass Synchro B-23 1 Pitch Synchro B-22 1 Roll Synchro B-21 1 Receptacle 1 Test Jacks 10 To provide 110 to 120 volts, 380 to 1000 cps, single phase AC and to open circuit if more than 20 amps is drawn. To provide the compass excitation voltage f

25、or “Antenna AS-653/APN-59. If To provide the pitch excitation voltage of Antenna AS-653/APN-59. To provide the roll excitation voltage for Antenna AS-653/APN- 59. (5) -255V, (6) -105V, (7) +150V, 3.4.1.3. 3 Mounting Bracket - The Mounting Bracket houses the following units of the AN/APN-59 under test: (1) Azimuth and Range Indication IP-239/APN-59 (2) Radar Set Control C-l242/APN-59 (3) Synchronizer Control C-2302

27、/APN-59 3.4.1.3.4 - Convenience Receptacle Assembly - Consists of two duplex outlets for 115 volt, AC-60 cps power, two fuse holder assemblies (one for spare fuse) to protect the conven- ience receptacles and one receptacle for 28 volt-DC power to the workbench and one receptacle for 115 volt, 400 c

28、ps single phase power. 3.4.1. 3. 5 Holding Fixture - The Holding Fixture is for accommodating the RT-289/APN-59 and Vaneaxial Fan HD-150/APN-50 under test or service on the Test Bench, 3.4.1.3.6 Mounting Bases - The following mounting bases are secured under the work- bench on the left side shelves

29、as follows: (1) Top Shelf - Power Supply Mount for PP-1073/APN-59, Stabilization Data Generator CN-221/APN- 59, Aux: Azimuth modifying the test limits of the applicable tests to correspond with the limits specified herein. interference tests shall be conducted in accordance with Specification MIL-I-

30、 61 81. Preproduction Approval - Approval of the preproduction sample shall be by the procuring activity upon satisfactory completion of all tests. No production equipments shall be delivered prior to the approval of the preproduction sample. Prefabrication of production equipment prior to the appro

31、val of the preproduction sample is at the contractors own risk. The approved preproduction sample will be returned to the contractor for his use in the fabrication and testing of equipment to be submitted for acceptance. The preproduction sample shall not be con- sidered as one of the equipments und

32、er the contract; however, It may be reworked by the contrac- tor and submitted for acceptance as a production equipment. 4.2.4 4.2.5 Production Equipments - Equipments supplied under the contract shall in all respects, including design, construction, workmanship, performance and quality, be equivale

33、nt to the approved preproduction sample. Each equipment shall be capable of successfully passing the same tests as imposed on the preproduction sample. Evidence of non-compliance with the above shall constitute cause for rejection and for equipment already accepted by the government it shall be the

34、obligation of the contractor to make necessary corrections as approved by the procur- ing activity. 4.3 Production Sample Tests - When requested by the procuring activity, one equipment shall be selected from the first 10 production equipments submitted for acceptance and sent at the contractors exp

35、ense to a designated government laboratory for tests. This equipment shall be selected by the government inspector after the equipment has successfully passed all in- dividual tests. The preproduction sample shall not be selected for this test. 4.3.1 Scope of Tests - This equipment may be subjected

36、to any and all tests the pro- curing activity deems necessary to assure that the production equipment is equivalent to the pre- viously approved preproduction sample in design, construction, workmanship, performance and quality and that it meets all applicable requirements. 4.3.2 Production Sample A

37、pproval - Approval of the production sample shall be by the procuring activity upon satisfactory completion of all tests. Any design, material or perform- ance defect made evident during this test shall be corrected by the contractor to the satisfaction of the procuring activity. Failure of the prod

38、uction sample to pass any of the tests shall be cause for deliveries of equipment under the contract to cease until proper corrective action is approved and accomplished. Corrective action shall also be accomplished on equipment previously accepted when requested by the procuring activity. 4.3.3 Rec

39、onditioning of Production Test Sample - On completion of the production sample test the equipment shall be reworked by the contractor by replacing all wear or damaged items. After reworking the contractor shall resubmit the equipment for acceptance. 4.4 Acceptance Tests - The contractor shall furnis

40、h all samples and shall be re- sponsible for accomplishing the acceptance tests. All inspection and testing shall be under the supervision of the government inspector. the procuring activity shall engage the service of a commercial testing laboratory acceptable to the procuring activity. all accepta

42、 by an authorized representative of the contractor or laboratory, as applicable, Acceptance or approval of material during the course of manufacture shall not be con- strued as a guarantee of the acceptance of the finished product. Acceptance tests shall consist of the following: (1) Individual Test

43、s (2) Sampling Tests (3) Speciai Tests 4.4.1 the individual tests. These tests shall be adequate to determine compliance with the requirements of material, workmanship, operational adequacy and reliability. As a minimum, each equipment accepted shall have passed the following tests: Individual Tests

44、 - Each equipment submitted for acceptance shall be subjected to (1) Examination of Product (2) Operational Test (3) Manufacturing Run In Test 4.4.1.1 Examination of Product - Each equipment shall be examined carefully to determine that the material and workmanchip requirements have been met. 4.4.1.

45、2 Operational Test - Each equipment shall be operated long enough to permit the equipment temperature to stabilize and to check sufficient characteristics and record adequate data to assure satisfactory equipment operation. 4.4.1.3 Manufacturing Run In Test - Each equipment shall be operated under t

46、he conditions specified herein for a period of 6 hours without failure. A failure shall be defined as anything which causes malfunctioning of the equipment. Only those adjustments will be permitted which can be made by using such controls and adjustments that are accessible to the operator during th

47、e nor- mal use of the equipment. Temperature Ambient room Humidity Ambient room Vibration Any selected frequency within the range of 20 to 30 cps (excluding resonant points) and a minimum amplitude of *3 gs The equipment shall be vibrated (without vibration isolators) for a period of 10 minutes prio

48、r to the beginning of the 6-hour period of operation. Where feasible, the equipment shall be operated dur- ing this vibration period for the purpose of detecting flaws and imperfect workmanship. Operation within the specified limits of satisfactory performance is not necessarily required during the

49、vi- bration period. The direction of vibration should be vertical to the normal mounting plane for 5 minutes and lateral to that plane for 5 minutes. Where it is not feasible to vibrate the equipment in 2 directions the vertical direction shall be used. During ,the 6-hour period of operation follow- ing the 10 minute vibration period, the equipment shall be mechanically cycled periodically through its various phases of operation. Should a failure occur, it should be repaired and the test started over, excep
