39、 the following environments. 3.4.1 Temperature.- The Test Set shall be capable of conforming to the temperature requirements of Specification aL-E-16400, Class 4. 3.4.2 Humidity.- The Test Set shall be capable of conforming to the humidity requirements of Specification MIL-E-16400. 3.4.3 Shock.- The
40、 Test Set shall be capable of conforming to - the shock requirements of Specification MIL-S-901, Grade I, Type A, lightweight equipment, except that the Test Set shall be in the nonoperating condition, and the hammer drops shall be from 1 foot, 1-112 feet, and 3 feet. 3.4.4 Vibration.- The Test Set
41、shall be capable of conforming to the vibration requirements of Standard MIL-STD-167, except that the Variable Frequenoy and Endurance requirements are replaced by the following frequency requirements (3.4.4.1) . 3.4.4.1 Yibration frequency (variable).- The Test Set in the operating condition, shall
42、 withstand vibration from 5 to 15 cps at an amplitude of 0.030 + 0.006 inch and from 16 to 25 cps at an amplitude of 0.020 - + 0.004 inoh. frequency intervals of 1 cps, and shall be applied for 1 minute at each interval. The vibrations shall be applied in discrete 3.4.5 Inclination.- The Test Set sh
43、all be capable of conforming to the inclination requirements of Specification MIL-E-16400. 3.5 Service life.- The service life of the Test Set shall be 5 years of normal service with a minimum of 60 days between calibration. 3.6 Identification.- The Test Set shall be permanently identified in accord

45、ently high gradeto assure satisfactory operation consistent with the requirements of this specification. All parts used in the assembly shall be thoroughly clean and free of excess materials, chips, and loose or splattered foreign materials. The standards of workmanship exhibited in any approved pre
46、- production sample, subject to any qualification stated in the Governments notice of approval, shall be determinative of the requirements of the contract relative to workmanship insofar as not specifically covered by applicable specifications. 4. QUALITY ASSURANCE PROVISIONS 4.1 Responsibility for
47、inspection - Unless otherwise specified in the contract or purchase order, the sup lier is responsible for the per- formance of all inspection requirements as specified herein. Except as otherwise specified, the supplier may utilize his own facilities or ar commercial laboratory acceptable to the Go
48、vernment.
