1、 - MIL-T-85235(AS) 19 January 1979 MILITARY SPECIFICATION TEST SET, RADIO SET AN/ARM-l65A This specification is approved for use by the Naval Air Systems Command, Department of the Navy and is available for use by all departments and agencies of the Department of Defense. 1. SCOPE 1.1 Scope. The equ

2、ipment covered by this specification shall be for use at the intermediate and depot levels of maintenance and shall be capable of performing functional tests and fault isolation on AN/ARC-159, AN/ARC-l59(V), AN/ARC-L59A(V) UHF Radio Equipments. The Test Set shall be capable of fault isolating the ma

3、jor module subassemblies of the Radio Set under test. The Test Sec shall comply with MIL-T-28800 Type I, Class 4, Style F except as modified herein. 1.2 Associated Equipment. This specification makes provisions for testing (see Section 4). 4 Licensed by Information Handling Services3.2 Materials, parts, and processes. The materials, parts and processes shall be in accordance

19、 with MIL-T-28800. 3.2.1 Selection of parts, materials, and processes. Except as specified herein, MIL-T-28800 shall apply for the selection of parts, materials and processes. 3.2.2 Approval of nonstandard parts and materials. Approval of nonstandard parts and material shall be in accordance with MI

20、L-T-28800. 3.3 Design and construction. The design and construc- tion of the equipment shall be in accordance with MIL-T-28800. 3.3.1 Total weight. The total weight of the equipment, including cables, shall be a minimum consistent with good design and shall not exceed 50 pounds. 3.3.2 Microelectroni

21、c items. When used, microelectronic items shall be in accordance with MIL-T-28800. 3.3.3 Electron devices. Electron tubes and semiconductor devices shall be in accordance with MIL-T-28800. 3.3.4 Modules, maintenance. The electronic portions of the equipment shall be divided into maintenance modules

22、as specified in MIL-T-28800. Modules shall normally be considered repairable. 3.3.5 Time totalizing meter. Not applicable. 3.3.6 Cables and connectors. The equipment shall provide for the use of cables and connectors in accordance with MIL-T-28800. Insofar as is practicable, all connectors on the fr

23、ont panel shall be mounted along the lower edge of the pariel and in no case shall their location be such that the connecting cables will interfere with the operating controls. 3.3.6.1 Cabling. 27、re 4. 3.7.3 Weight. The weight of the Test Set including cables, and Mount, shall not exceed 50 pounds. 3.7.4 Content. The Test Set shall contain the following assemblies, subassemblies, circuits and cables and mount: (i) Test Set Panel (including .integral chassis and covers) (a) Digital Display As

28、sembly. The six digit display shall either indicate the selected frequency in megahertz or the center two digits shall indicate the selected preset channel in the PRESET mode. The display shall indicate the information generated by the unit under test or the Test Set depending upon which unit has co

29、ntrol of the frequency data control line. The digital display indicators shall be of the seven segment plug-in type. (b) Power Supply Assembly. The .Test Set power supply shall supply the DC voltage required to operate all of the functional capabilities of the Test Set. The power supply shall provid

30、e satisfactory operation from the primary DC power line with the characteris- tics as specified in MIL-STD-704. Licensed by Information Handling Services(c) Clock Generator. The Test Set clock shall provide a two line output to the data frequencycontrol circuit- ry of the AN/ARC-l59(V) equipment und

31、er test or the Test Set as required. The clock frequency shall be nominally 800 Hz. The two clock lines shall provide signals of opposite phase. The amplitudes of each clock signal shall nominally be -8V and 12V. The clock signal shall be on for 24 bits and off for 8 bits. The rise and fall times of

32、 the clock signals shall be 220+50 usec. The output impedance of the clock shall be nominally 300 ohms. (d) Data Generator. The Test Set data generator shall supply the frequency data control information to the unit(s) under test whenever the Test Set is in command of the frequency control.-The gene

33、rator shall provide a data word length of 32 bits with a 24 bits of information and 8 bits of silence for synchronizing purposes. The frequency of data genera- tion shall be controlled by the clock. The generator shall provide a two line output with signals of opposite phase. The amplitudes of the s

34、ignals shall be nominally -8V and +2V. The output impedence shall be nominally 300 ohms. (e) Data Receiver. The data receiver shall process the frequency control data generated either by the Test Set or the unit under test and drive the FREQUENCY display. (2) Cable Assembly, Wl. Cable, W1, shall int
