BL 2-2009 Page ii Foreword This standard includes energy-efficiency requirements for declaration as NEMA Premiumrated products. All safety-related requirements and energy-efficiency requirements shall

15、 be met for NEMA Premium ratings. In the preparation of this standards publication, input of users and other interested parties was sought and evaluated. 20、ency; c) Power factor; and d) Total harmonic distortion. Dimming ballasts by their very nature save energy and so must meet the requirements of b), c), and d) above in order to be rated as NEMA Premium electronic ballasts. Ballast efficacy factor does not apply. 4.2 Multi-Voltage Ballasts Multi-volt

21、age ballasts shall meet or exceed the requirements in Table 1 when operated on at least one of the intended operating voltages. 4.3 Test Requirements Ballasts shall be tested in accordance with ANSI C82.2 and must meet UL 935 safety guidelines. 4.4 Ballast Efficacy Factor The ballast efficacy factor

22、 shall be determined using four-foot 32-watt T8 fluorescent lamps with a minimum rated lamp lumen output of 3100 lumens.
