23、ment. It shall be provided with a shoulder or stop to limit the insertion of the tenon. 27、nd 4.2 The slipfitter shall conform to the requirements of 4.2. 5 POST TOPMOUNTED LUMINAIRES The slipfitter shall have provisions for attaching the luminaire securely to the post (or pole) tenon in accordance with sizes specified in Table 3. It shall be provided with a shoulder or stop to limit the

28、insertion of the pole tenon. Tenons are described in ANSI C136.21. ANSI C136.3-2014 2014 National Electrical Manufacturers Association 3 6 PENDANT-MOUNTED LUMINAIRES 6.1 NPT Thread Mount The luminaire/mounti

30、ng housing shall be tapped with internal 1 in., 1 in., or 2 in. NPT pipe threads, per ANSI B1.20.1. The luminaires shall also have provisions for applying a wrench to tighten as per manufacturers specifications and to provide anti-rotation. 6.2 Ball and Socket Mount Ball and Socket mount shall have

31、restriction ring securely attached to the luminaire. Restriction ring shall be designed to be securely clamped inside an arm and/or adapter bracket. The adapter bracket, if used, shall meet Section 4.2. 6.3 Moisture Mitigation The luminaire attachment shall be designed so as to prevent water from en

32、tering the luminaire once installed, as recommended by luminaire manufacturer. If application of sealant is necessary to properly seal the luminaire once installed, luminaire manufacturers installation instructions shall be followed.
