26、s standard consolidates projection lamps with G5.3 bases into a single standard. The lamps contained in this standard are not to be considered as interchangeable, although physically they will all fit the common G5.3 lampholders. The photometry of each lamp is dependent upon the system for which it

27、was designed and on the system in which it is used. Representative photometric values are found in Table 2. Tungsten-halogen lamps with G5.3 bases having the ANSI lamp designations EML and EYB are covered. 2 Norm at ive Referen ces The following standards contain provisions which, through reference

Tungsten-halogen lamps operate at high temperature and at internal gas pressures above atm

36、ospheric pressure. Consequently, a lamp could shatter. Certain lamps may also emit some amount of ultraviolet radiation. Therefore a suitable protective shield, screening technique, or both shall be used with the luminaire to protect people and surroundings from both hazards. 2. Always read and obse

37、rve the information contained in the lamp manufacturers caution notice. 8 Physical Characteristics 8.1 Base Specifications G5.3; see ANSI C81.61. 8.2 Bulb Designation See ANSI C79.1. Note: In microfilm application, bulb quality (lack of stria, inclusions, bubbles, scratches, etc.) has been found to

41、outside diameter) at the LCL. 3) The light source dmensions width (W), height (H), and thickness (T) define a volume centered on the light center length (LCL) and the base center line within which all luminous parts of the filament shall be located. This is a maximum volume accounting for all possib

42、le positions of the filament. Actual filament size may be significantly smaller than the defined light source values.
