SCOPE 1.1 F

6、orm This specification covers a polytetrafluoroethylene (PTFE) resin filled with 60% bronze powder in the form of extruded or molded rods or tubes which are sintered after molding or, in the case of extrusions, sintered during the extrusion process. 1.2 Application These products have been used typi

7、cally for bearing and wear ring applications in a lubricated environment against steel, stainless steel, and chromium plate, and requiring dimensional stability up to 450 F (232 C), but usage is not limited to such applications. Each application should be considered individually. 2. APPLICABLE DOCUM

TECHNICAL REQUIREMENTS 3.1 Basic Specification The complete requirements for procuring the products described herein shall consist of this document and the latest issue of the basic specification, AMS3678. 3.2 Material All products shall be molded or extruded from virgin polytet

9、rafluoroethylene (PTFE) powder conforming to ASTM D 4894, Type II or Type IV, uniformly blended with the specified filler. The blended powder shall consist of 60% 4 bronze powder and the remainder virgin PTFE powder, filler percentage measured by weight. Copyright SAE International Provided by IHS u

11、product shall conform to the requirements shown in Table 1.
