If necessary to make any change in ingredients, in type of equipment for processing, or in manufacturing procedures, vendor shall submit for reapproval a statement of the proposed changes in ingredients and/or processing and, when requ
、ested, sample adhesive. Production adhesive made by the revised procedure shall not be shipped prior to receipt of reapproval. 4.5 Test Methods 4.5.1 Tensile Shear Shall be determined in accordance with ASTM D 1002 with the following modifications. Individual test pieces shall be made of AMS5044 ste
、el, or equivalent, nominally 1/8 x 1 x 5 inches (3.2 x 25 x 127 mm). Tensile holding fixture shall allow sufficient offset to account for the metal thickness, and through-pin holding arrangement shall be allowable when 1/8 inch (3.2 mm) thick test pieces are used. The test piece width shall be 1 inc
、h 0.1 (25 mm 3) and the overlap area approximately 0.5 square inch (323 mm2). Bonding fixtures used shall give identical pressure on the adhesive joint from batch to batch. Bonding surface shall be freshly sandblasted to obtain a uniformly roughened surface and shall be thoroughly washed with a suit
、able solvent. 4.5.2 Thermal Cycling Samples shall be subjected to 10 thermal cycles in air as follows and tested at room temperature.
