Cahier des charges du matriel -7- METHODS OF MEASUREMENTS FOR RADIO EQUIPMENT USED IN SATELLITE EARTH STATIONS PART 1: GENERAL 1. scope The standard conditions of meas

22、urement and the methods of measuring the characteristics given in this part of the standard are common to sub-systems and to combinations of sub-systems of satellite erth stations. These test methods are general and are applicable to all systems. The tests to be made should be agreed between the par

23、ties concerned. 2. Object The object of this standard is to define the test conditions and methods of measurement for earth station equip- ment used in satellite communication systems, and to facilitate the comparison of the results of measurements made by different observers on different equipment.

24、 It contains details of selected methods of making measurements recommended for assessing the essential properties of satellite earth stations and of the equipment used in such stations. The methods are neither man- datory nor limiting; a choice of measurements can be made in each particular case. I

25、f necessary, additional measurements may be made, but these preferably shall be carried out in accordance with the standards laid down by other I EC Technical Committees or Sub-committees or by other international bodies. Limiting values of the various quantities for acceptable performance are not s

26、pecified since these should be given in the detailed equipment specification. The methods of measurement described in this standard are intended for “type” and “acceptance” tests and they may also be used for factory tests. 3. Terms and definitions The methods of measurement described in this part a

27、nd in the other parts of this standard are preceded by the definition of the quantity to be measured, either in the relevant clause or in a separate clause, in order to show the coherence between the various definitions. As far as is practicable, the definitions are in conformity with those given in

28、 the IEC International Electro- technical Vocabulary or used by other Technical Committees of the I EC and other international bodies. Where deviations exist, they appeared necessary for a better understanding of this standard. 3.1 Detailed equipnient specfication equipment under specified condition
