5、s, which are User Layer, Query Layer, Management Layer and Content Layer. The interfaces marked with rounded pink boxes are within the scope of this part of ISO/IEC 24800 and will be grouped under the name of JPEG Query Format (JPQF). Data flow between each layer is defined as Input Query and Output

6、 Result. Where the nature of the data flow is requesting information, it is defined as Input Query and when the nature of the data flow is returning data upon a request, it is defined as Output Query. This part of ISO/IEC 24800 defines the format for input queries and output results which are used n

7、ot only between the user layer and the query layer, but also between all other layers, as defined in the architecture, so that each layer of the JPSearch system can be implemented and maintained in a distributed way. This part of ISO/IEC 24800 also defines the messages for querying and providing inf

8、ormation regarding the service description, service discovery and selection. The tools specifically serving these purposes are called Management tools. 10、pre/post search housekeeping, and evaluation of results Management Input/Output Input Query Output ResultFigure 1 JPSearch architecture and scope of this part of ISO/IEC 24800 The tools of the JPEG Query Format (JPQF) are defined as the subset of the tools of ISO/IEC 15938-12:2008 (MPEG Query Format

11、, MPQF) that apply to the still images domain. The MPEG Query Format already provides a set of tools supporting the definition of the query request as well as the query response as required in this part of ISO/IEC 24800, but it has a broader focus as it not only covers still images but also audio an

12、d video. The tools of the JPEG Query Format (JPQF) include all the tools defined by ISO/IEC 15938-12 except by those that are marked as disabled in this part of ISO/IEC 24800. 13、e: 5 Disabled datatypes The mimeType type is used by different elements of ISO/IEC 15938-12 to specify the media type of a multimedia resource. Only mimeTypes of still images or text are enabled in any queries or responses of JPQF, and any other mimeType is disabled. Remove Clause 7 Tools of Input Q

Replace Clause 9 Query Types with the following new clause: 6 Disabled Query Types The following types of queries defined in ISO/IEC 15938-12 are partially or totally disabled within this part of ISO/IEC 24800: Name in ISO/IEC 15938-12:2008 Restricted u

15、sage in ISO/IEC 24800-3 QueryByMedia Allowed, but the example media resource is restricted to the image domain only. TemporalQuery Not allowed. QueryByROI Allowed except that the usage of the TemporalRegionOfInterest type is not allowed . Remove Clause 10 Query By Media. Remove Clause 11 Query By ROI. Remove Clause 12 JoinType.
