REQUIREMENTS 3.1 First article, When specified (see 4.3 and 6.2), the contractor shall furnish samples for first article

7、inspection and approval. 3.2 Material, The material for the base and the protective lamination shall be plastic sheeting that conforms to composition By type I, class 3 of L-P-535, The plastic sheeting for the base shall be 0.055 inch thick. The plastic sheeting for the protective lamination shall b

8、e 0.005 inch thick, 3.3 Design and construction, template that consists of a base and a protective lamination The base The plotter shall be a transparent plastic shall contain the printing specified in 3.3.1, shall be bonded, over the printed surface of the base, under heat and pressure, to form a h

9、omogeneous sheet. 3.3.1 Printing, The printing shall be on the underside of the base to avoid parallax, Unless otherwise specified herein, the printing shall be in black and magenta ink on clear plastic in accordance with the master drawing described in 3.6, if the master drawing is not loaned to th

10、e contractor by the Government, the printing shall be in black and magenta ink on clear plastic in accordance with 3.3.1.1 through 3.3.1.5 and figures 1 and 2, If the requirements of figures 1 and 2 conflict with the requirements specified in 3.3.1.1 through 3.3.1.5, the requirements of 3.3.1.1 thro

11、ugh 3.3.1.5 shall apply. The protective lamination. 3.3.1.1 Scales, Nautical mile scales, time-minutes scales, and time-in- turn scales shall be developed for the plotter in accordance with tables J through XIII, accordance with figure 1 with respect to the length and shall be 0,005 inch wide. The l

12、etters and the numbers of these scales shall be in 9-point, boldface, Gothic type style. The graduations of these scales shall be substantially in 3.3.1.2 Vertical reference lines, The plotter shall have one major vertical reference line and ten minor vertical reference lines. The major vertical ref

13、erence line shall be 1.750 inches long and shall be a continua- tion of the 90wdegree graduation of the protractor. The ten minor vertical reference lines shall be 0.1562 inch long and shall be located at the top and the bottom of the cutouts as follows: 0.3125 inch from the left edge of the upper c

14、enter cutout, 0.3125 inch from the right edge of the upper right: cutout, 0,6250 inch from the right edge of the upper right cutout, 0.6250 inch from the left edge of the lower left cutout, and 0,7187 inch from the right edge of the lower right cutout. 2 Provided by IHSNot for ResaleNo reproduction

The plotter shall have two horizontal reference lines. tion of the centerline of the upper left and the upper right cutouts and shall extend 0.25 inc

The meter grid shall be a 4-centimeter (1.575-inch) square and shall be divided into one-hundred, 4-millimeter squares. The markings of the meter grid shall be in accordance with figure 1. and the numbers for the meter

19、 grid shall be 7-pointY boldface, Gothic type style. 3.3.1.5 Protractor, The protractor shall be semicircular, shall be 5.340-inch diameter, shall be graduated in degrees, and shall be laid out in accordance with figure 1. The graduations for the protractor shall be 0.005 inch wide, Gothic type styl

20、e, The letters The numbers for the prpractor shall be 7-point, boldface, 3.4 Dimensions. The dimensions of the finished plofter shall be in accordance with figure 3. 3.5 Identification of product. The item description (PLOTTER, COMBAT MISSION, pL-G/c) , the- manufacturers part number, and the manufa

21、cturers identification shall be printed on the underside of the base before the protective lamination is bonded to the base. 3.6 Government loaned property. When specified (see 6.2), the Government will loan the contractor the following full-size dimensionally stable (polyes ter film) mas ter drawin

QUALITY ASSURANCE PROVISIONS 4.1 Respo

24、nsibility for inspection. Unless otherwise specified in the contract, the contractor is responsible for the performance of all inspection requirements as specified herein. Except as otherwise specified in the contract, the contractor may use his own or any other facilities suitable for the performan

25、ce of the inspection requirements specified herein, unless disapproved by the Government. The Government reserves the right to perform any of the inspections set forth in the specification where such inspections are deemed necessary to assure supplies and services conform to prescribed requirements.

26、 4.2 Classification of inspections. The inspections required by this specification are classified as follows: (a) First .article inspection (b) Quality conformance inspection. 4.3 First article inspection. When required (see 3.1 and 6.2), the first article .samples shall be inspected to determine co

27、mpliance with all of the requirements specified in 3.2 through 3.5 and 3.7, 4.3.1 First article samples. The first article samples shall consist of three plotters that are representative of the materials, design, construction, printing, dimensions, and workmanship to be used in the production items.

28、 Approval of the first article samples shall not preclude the requirement for the performance of the quality conformance inspection. 4.4 Quality conformance inspection. The quality conformance inspection shall consist of the following: (a) Individual inspect ion (b) Sampling inspection. 4.4.1 Indivi

29、dual inspection. Each plotter shall be subjected to the examination of product described in 4.5.1. 4.4.2 Sampling inspection. One plotter shall be selected at random from each lot of 100 plotters, or fraction thereof, and subjected to the accuracy tests described in 4.5.2. 7 Provided by IHSNot for R

If one or more items from a lot fail t meet the specification, acceptance of all items in the lot shall be withheld until the extent and cau

31、se of failure have been determined, The contractor shall explain fully to the Government representative and notify the procur- ing activity in writing the cause of failure, the action taken to preclude recurrence, and the impact this failure may have on scheduled deliveries, 4.4.2.2 Continuation of

32、inspection. For production reasons, individual inspection or other sampling inspections may be continued pending the investigation of a sampling inspection failure. Final acceptance of the entire lot or lots produced later shall not be made until it is determined that all Items meet the requirements

33、 of the specification. 4.4.3 Defects in items already accepted. failure could indicate that defects may exist in items already accepted. Zf so, the concractor shall fully advise the procuring activity of all defects likely to be found and the method of correcting them. The investigation of an inspec

34、tion 4,5 Inspection methods 4.5,1 Examination of product. determine conformance to the requirements of this specification with respect to materials, design, construction, printing, color, identification of product, and workmanship, The plotter shall be visually examined to 4.5.2 Accuracy. The plotte

35、r shall be inspected for accuracy as specified in tables XIV through XVI. If the location of the graduation on any scale of the plotter is not as specified in tables XLV through XVI, the plotter shall be rejected, 4.6 Inspection of packaging. Tests shall be accomplished in accordance with section 4

36、of MIL-P-116 to insure compliance with the requirements specified in section 5 of this specification, i, PACKAGING 5.1 Preservation-packaging, Preservation-packaging shall be level A or C as specified (see 6,2) 5.1.1 Level A 5,1,1.1 Cleaning. C-1 of MIL-P-116. The plotters shall be cleaned in accord

38、 MIL-P-116. shall be sandwiched between two pieces of fiberboard that conforms to PPP-F-320 and inserted into a bag that conforms to MIL-B-117. shall be placed in a box that conforms to PPP-B-636 and that is of sufficient size to accommodate 25. 5.1.2 Level C. The plotters, shall be clean, dry, and

39、individually packaged in a manner that will afford adequate protection against deterioration and physical damage during shipment from the supply source to the first receiving activity. 5.2 Packing. Packing shall be level A, B, or C as specified (see 6.2). 5.2.1 Level A. Plotters that have been packa

40、ged as specified in 5.1.1 shall be packed in shipping containers that conform to class weather-resistant of PPP-B-636. Insofar as practical, the exterior shipping containers shall be of uniform shape and size and shall be of minimum tare and cube consistent with the protection required. Table II of

41、MIL-STD-794 shall apply for Army use. 5.2.2 Level B. Plotters that have been packaged as specified in 5.1.1 shall be packed as specified in5 2.1 except that the shipping containers shall con- form to class domestic in lieu of class weather-resistant of PPP-B-636. 5.2.3 Level C. Plotters shall be pac

42、ked in a manner that will afford adequate protection during domestic shipment from the supply source to the first receiving activity for immediate use. This level shall conform to the rules of carriers and the regulations applicable to the mode of trans- portation and may be the contractors commerci

43、al practice, provided the latter meets the requirements for this level. 5.3 Marking. order, each unit package, intermediate container, and shipping container shall be marked in accordance with MIL-STD-129. 6. NOTES 6.1 Intended use, The plotter covered by this specification is intended to be used in

44、 the preparation of navigational route strip maps.
