REQUIREMENTS 3.1 Pre roduction. This specification makes provisions for

7、 preproduction test&* 3.2 Materials . 3.2.1 Plywood. 3 or 5 ply, A-B grade conforming to NN-P-530. A rigid connection between the cover and the plywood base 3.34.2 Spacer inserts. permanently fixed to the interior surface along both sides of the cover top. The slots shal

Equipment, assemblies and parts shall be marked for identification in accordance with MIL-STD-130. The nomenclature and stock number to be included on the equipment nameplate shall

18、be as follows: Trainer, Weather Condition Map Stock NO 6910-264-5884 3.6.1 Transparent plastic plates. Each plastic plate shall be identified by a Roman Numeral followed by an Arabic Numeral. The plates shall be marked in accordance with the following outline: (a) Open-sector cyclone, 1-1 through 1-

19、8 (b) Cold-front occlusion, 11-1 through 11-8 (c) Warm-front occlusion, 111-1 through 111-8 3.7 Government-loaned property. When the contract or purchase order provides (see 6.2), the Government will loan the following to the contractor for use in fabricating the trainer: Item Description Quantity I

Unless otherwise specified in the contract or purchase order, the supplier is responsible for the performance of all inspection re

22、quirements as specified herein. the supplier may utilize his own facilities or any commercial laboratory acceptable to the Government. of the inspections set forth in the specification where such inspections are deemed necessary to assure supplies and service conform to prescribed require- ment s. E

23、xcept as otherwise specified, The Government reserves the right to perform any 4.2 Classification of tests. be classified as follows: The inspection and testing of the trainer shall (a) Preproduction tests . see 4.3 (b) Acceptance tests see 4,4 4.3 Preproduction testing. 4,3.1 Preproduction test sam

24、ple. The preproduction test sample shall consist of one model representative of the production equipment (see 6.2). 4,3.2 Preproduction tests. described in 4.5. The preproduction tests shall consist of all tests 4,4 Acceptance tests. 4.4.1 described in 4.5. The acceptance tests shall consist of indi

25、vidual tests, Individual tests. Each trainer shall be subjected to the tests 4,5 Test methods. 4,5.1 Examination of products. compliance with 3.2, 3,4, and 3.8. Weather conditions depicted shall be. inspected for conformance with sample weather maps. The trainer shall be inspected to determine 4.5.2

29、69 W 7999906 0375353 5 W MIL-T-.c (USAF ) 5. PFIEPARATION FOR DELIVERY 5.1 Preservation and packaging. or C as specified (see 6.2) . Preservation and packaging shall be level A 5.1.1 Level A. Each trainer, securely fastened in a cover, shall be preserved and packaged in accordance with method III of

30、 MIL-P-u. wrapped with paper conforming to -P-268, and adequately cushioned in accordance with PPP-C-843. Each unit shall be 5.1.2 Level C, from corrosion and physical damage during shipment to the first receiving activity for immediate use. 5.2 Packing. Each trainer shall be packaged to afford adeq

31、uate protection Packing shall be level A, By or C as specified (see 6.2). 5.2.1. Level A. Each trainer, as specified in 5.1.1, shall be packed in ext.erior-type shipping containers conforming to PPP-B-576, PPP-B-601 and Class 2, Grade A of PPP-B-&O and appendices thereto. As far as practical, exteri

32、or containers shall be of uniform shape and size, of minimum cube and tare consistent with the protection required and shall contain identical quantities. Containers shall be closed and strapped in accordance with the applicable container specification or appendix thereto. provided with case liners

33、conforming to MIL-L-10547. Containers shall be 5.2.2 Level B. Each trainer, as specified in 5.1.1, shall be packed in domestic-type exterior containers conforming to PPP-B-576, PPP-B-601, or PPP-B-636. with the protection required. As far as practicable, exterior containers shall be uniform in shape

34、 and size and shall contain identical quantities. Containers shall be closed and strapped in accordance with the applicable container specification or appendix thereto. Ekterior containers shall be of minimum cube and tare consistent 5.2.3 Level C. carrier shall be packed in exterior-type shipping c

35、ontainers in a manner that will assure safe transportation at the lowest rate to the point of delivery. Containers shall meet Consolidated Freight Classification Rules or regulations of other common carriers, as applicable to the mode of transportation. Packages which require overpacking for accepta

NOTES 6.1 Intended use, T

39、he weather condition map trainer is intended for use in classroom instruction to teach personnel in the recognition of cloud formations. 6.2 Ordering data. Procurement documents should specify the following: (A) Title, number and date of this specification. (B) Whether a preproduction sample is requ

40、ired (see 3.1). (C) When Government-loaned property will be made available (see 3.7). (D) (E) Whether special marking is required (see 5.4). Selection of applicable levels of packaging and packing (see 5.1 and 5.2). 6.3 Asterisks. Asterisks are not used in this revision to identify changes with respect to the previous issue, due to the extensiveness of the changes.
