25、hreadexceeds 2000 feet per minute, additional consider-ation must be given to the lubrication of gears andbearings. Special lubricants and a pressurizedlubrication system may be required.1.3 Included ratiosThe input power formulasfor globoidalwormgearingapply for ratios of 3:1 and greater. Engineeri

26、ngpractice dictates that ratios in excess of 74:1 shouldbe discussed with the manufacturer.1.4 ExceptionsWildhaber plane enveloping globoidal gearing is notcovered in this standard.This standard does not pertain to globoidal worm-gearing used as speed increasers. For suchapplications, the manufactur

27、er should be consulted.1.5 Intended useThe equations and values presented provide ageneral approach to design and rating. Deviationsfrom the methods and values stated in this manualmay be made when justified by experience, testingor more specific analysis. It is intended for use byexperienced gear d
