26、tional consider-ation must be given to the lubrication of gears andbearings. Special lubricants and a pressurizedlubrication system may be required.1.3 Included ratiosThe input power formulasfor globoidalwormgearingapply for ratios of 3:1 and greater. Engineeringpractice dictates that ratios in exce

27、ss of 74:1 shouldbe discussed with the manufacturer.1.4 ExceptionsWildhaber plane enveloping globoidal gearing is notcovered in this standard.This standard does not pertain to globoidal worm-gearing used as speed increasers. For suchapplications, the manufacturer should be consulted.1.5 Intended use

Deviationsfrom the methods and values stated in this manualmay be made when justified by experience, testingor more specific analysis.
