Background: Section 7.2.3 “Combination Airborne Infectious Isolation/Protective Environment (AII/PE) Rooms” gives the impression that combination AII/PE roo
3、ms are permitted as long as there is an anteroom provided. Table 7.1 Note “t” last sentence states: “Rooms with reversible airflow provisions for the purpose of switching between protective environment and AII functions shall not be permitted.” Table Note “t” seems to be in conflict with Section 7.2
4、.3. Interpretation: Combination rooms are permitted provided an anteroom is provided and operated as described in Section 7.2.3. Question: Is this interpretation correct? Answer: Yes. Comments: Combination AII/PE are permitted provided the anteroom and combination AII/PE room are operated as described in Section 7.2.3 and pressure relationships are not switchable per Section 7.1.a.3.
