Scope*1.1 This specification covers the standardization of the pipesizes and types of threads used to join impervious graphit

3、e pipeand fittings. The thread standards may also be applied toimpervious carbon pipe and fittings. It is limited to physicaldimensions.2. Terminology2.1 Definitions:2.1.1 impervious graphite, nmanufactured graphite thathas been impregnated with a resinous material to make the finalarticle imperviou

4、s to liquids in the recommended operatingrange.2.1.2 impervious carbon, nmanufactured non-graphitizedstructural carbon that has been impregnated with a resinousmaterial to make the final article impervious to liquids in therecommended operating range.3. Requirements for Impervious Graphite Pipe3.1 T

5、he eight standard pipe sizes are shown in Table 1 withpermissible variations in dimensions.3.2 Fig. 1 gives the male thread dimensions for imperviousgraphite pipe.3.3 Fig. 2 gives the female thread dimensions for impervi-ous graphite fittings.4.
