Ordering Information4.1 When tubings are ordered to this specification, it is up tothe purchaser to define the size and color of the requiredtubing.5. Materials and Manufacture5.1 The compound used in the m
9、anufacture of heat-shrinkable tubing shall be modified poly(vinylidene fluoride),and the finished compound shall be free of all foreign matterother than intended formulation additives as appropriate.5.2 The tubing shall be extruded, crosslinked, and thenexpanded to the required dimensions.6. 10、l Property Requirements6.1 The material shall conform to the chemical propertyrequirements specified in Table 1.6.2 Every lot of material manufactured shall be tested forflammability (when applicable). Other chemical requirementsshall be permitted to be tested less frequently or at a frequencyagreed

United States17. Physical Property Requirements7.1 The material shall conform to the mechanical
15、, thermal,and electrical requirements of Table 2.7.2 Every lot of material manufactured shall be tested forrestricted shrinkage, heat shock, tensile strength, and elonga-tion. Other physical requirements shall be permitted to betested less frequently or at a frequency agreed upon betweenthe purchase
16、r and seller.8. Dimensional Requirements8.1 The material shall conform to the dimensional require-ments of Table 3.8.2 Tubing with non-standard dimensions shall be permittedto be supplied when agreed upon between purchaser and seller.Tubing with non-standard dimensions shall be considered tocomply w
17、ith this specification if the requirements of Table 1and Table 2 are satisfied and the minimum recovered wallthickness equals or exceeds that of the identical or next largestnominal size. The wall for sizes greater than 1 in. shall be atleast as thick as that of the 1 in. size.9. Workmanship9.1 The
18、tubing shall be homogeneous and essentially free offlaws, defects, pinholes, bubbles, seams, cracks, or inclusions.9.2 Clear tubing shall be transparent to translucent light tanor in a color as agreed between purchaser and seller.10. Sampling10.1 A lot shall consist of all material which is processe
19、d atthe same time and under the same conditions and submitted forinspection at one time.10.2 Properties shall be permitted to be tested at any stage inprocessing when they are unaffected by subsequent processing.10.3 Select a quantity of the product at random from eachlot in accordance with Practice
20、 D3636 and Table 5.10.4 Statistical process control measurements shall be per-mitted to be used to demonstrate conformance in lieu of thesampling plan noted herein when the demonstrated processcapability is greater than the specified AQL.11. Number of Tests and Retests11.1 The methods of test define
21、 the number of specimensand length required for each test.11.2 If the results of any test, except for attributes listed inTable 3, do not conform to the requirements prescribed in thisspecification, perform two additional tests on different speci-mens from the same lot. Nonconformance to Table 3 req
22、uire-ments on first inspection shall be cause for rejection.11.3 If either of the two additional tests result innonconformance, the purchaser has the option of rejecting thelot of material. Notice of nonconformances observed by thepurchaser based on tests made according to this specificationshall be
23、 reported to the manufacturer within 60 days fromreceipt of the material.11.4 Tubing that has been rejected shall be permitted to bereplaced or reworked to correct the nonconformances andresubmitted for inspection. Before resubmitting, full particularsconcerning previous rejection and action taken t
24、o correct thenonconformances shall be furnished to the inspector.12. Test Methods12.1 Use the test methods described in Test Methods D2671unless stated otherwise in Table 1 or Table 2.12.2 Use a time of 3 min and a temperature of 200 6 2C392 6 4 F to recover (shrink) tubings in this specification.13

Packaging, Marking, and Shipping15.1 The tubing shall be supplied in lengths of 48 + 1, 0 in.1219 + 25, 0 mm unless otherwise specified.15.2 The tubing shall be packaged in conformance withstandard commercial practice unless
32、 otherwise specified. Indi-vidual sizes shall be neatly bundled or boxed. The exteriorshipping container shall be acceptable by parcel post orcommon carrier.15.3 Each bundle or container of tubing shall be distinctlyidentified by a tag or label. The name of the manufacturer,the expanded and recovere
33、d dimension of the tubing, thelength, quantity, and other appropriate information shall beshown thereon.16.
