4、ations prior to use.2. Significance and Use2.1 This specification specifies the minimum warnings andinstructions that are to be provided on the CO2cylinder itself.3. Conformance3.1 Paintball CO2cylinders shall not, either by label or othermeans, indicate conformance with this specification unless, a
5、tthe time of manufacture, they conform with all applicablerequirements contained herein.4. Product Marking4.1 Refillable CO2cylinders used in the sport of paintballthat utilize a pin valve, which is of a design such that if thevalue is unscrewed from the cylinder the CO2gas underpressure is immediat
6、ely released, shall be prominently anddurably marked to convey the following cautionary statement:4.1.1 A signal word such as “WARNING” or “DANGER”.4.1.2 A warning that the cylinder can fly off with enoughforce to kill if the valve unscrews from the cylinder.4.1.3 Instructions to look at valve when
7、removing thecylinder.4.1.4 Instructions to stop if valve starts to unscrew from thecylinder.4.1.5 Instructions to screw it back on and immediatelycontact the manufacturer for instructions for repair if the valvedoes start to unscrew from the cylinder.4.1.6 Markings must include a graphic similar to
8、that shownin Fig. 1.4.2 All CO2cylinders used in the sport of paintball shall beprominently and durably marked to convey the following:4.2.1 A warning that the cylinder is an explosion hazard.4.2.2 Notice that improper use, filling, storage or disposalmay result in property damage, serious personal
9、injury, ordeath.4.2.3 Notice that the cylinder must be filled only by properlytrained personnel in accordance with CGA Pamphlets P-l, C-6,G-6.8, and AV-7.24.2.4 Notice that valves must be installed or repaired onlyby trained personnel.4.2.5 Instructions to not exceed the cylinders marked CO2capacity
10、.4.2.6 Notice to not expose to temperatures exceeding 130Fwhen pressurized.4.2.7 Notice to not use caustic cleaners or strippers.4.2.8 Instructions to not modify the valve or cylinder in anyway.4.2.9 Notice to not remove or cover the label.4.2.10 Notice that the cylinder must be destroyed if exposed
11、to fire or heated to a temperature exceeding 350F.4.2.11 Notice to keep cylinder out of reach of childrenwithout proper supervision.4.3 Markings must include the maximum CO2capacity ofthe cylinder in a prominent manner.4.4 Markings must indicate the manufacturer or distributoror retailer of the cyli
12、nder or completed cylinder assembly.4.5 An example of an acceptable label for a 20 oz capacityCO2cylinder is noted in Fig. 2. This sample does not includeinformation in 4.4 as required.4.6 The warnings, instructions, and notices may be a com-bination of upper and lower case letters and must be of a
