The requirements and definitions in this document are for Wireline Access equipment that provides standards-based asymmetric broadband service and is deployed in the telecommunications industry. This supplemental standard represents one part of the larger ATIS suite of standards concer

37、ning Telecommunications Energy Efficiency (ATIS-0600015). This supplemental standard (ATIS-0600015.07.2013) specifically addresses access equipment and is to be used in conjunction with ATIS-0600015. The initial scope is limited to this specific type of equipment. The current document addresses asym

38、metric Broadband equipment that includes Digital Subscriber Line Access Mulitplexers (DSLAMs) with ADSL or VDSL technology. Symmetric DSL technologies, vectoring, self-test, and bonding are not included within this standard. Other categories of Access Equipment may be addressed in other supplemental

39、 standards. This may include Optical Access, Edge equipment, Network Termination Equipment (NTE), and CPE. These devices are outside the scope of this document. 1.2 Purpose This standard provides a set of definitions, measurement methods, configuration requirements, and guidelines for calculating th

40、e Telecommunications Energy Efficiency Ratio (TEER) of the associated access equipment. The standard will also provide standardized definitions of access equipment interfaces. These definitions may include operational data rates and conditions to be used when calculating the TEER of any given config

41、uration. The general test methodology used to independently verify the energy consumption used as part the TEER calculation is addressed in ATIS-0600015. 1.3 Application This standard (and supporting documentation) is intended to be used by communications network operators, equipment manufacturers,

42、suppliers, and test laboratories as a standard method for determining the energy consumption and define a TEER ratio required to address a specific application. The TEER reports of equipment that meets a common set of requirements may be used to compare equipment configurations. ATIS-0600015.07.2013

The maximu

It is entered automatically from the full power state after the data tr

If more than the limited data has to be transmitted from either side a state change to the full power state is entered automatically. The low power state may comprise multiple sub-states with history dependent state-transition rules

From this state a direct state change to the full-transmission state is possible, if data has to be transmitted from either side (e.g., L3 for ADSL2/2p
