31、This standard is published as an equivalentstandard for CSA Group and UL. An equivalent standard is a standard that is substantially the same intechnical content, except as follows: Technical national differences are allowed for codes andgovernmental regulations as well as those recognized as being

32、in accordance with NAFTA Article 905, forexample, because of fundamental climatic, geographical, technological, or infrastructural factors, scientificjustification, or the level of protection that the country considers appropriate. Presentation is word for wordexcept for editorial changes.All nation

33、al differences from the IEC text are included in the CSA Group and UL versions of the standard.While the technical content is the same in each organizations version, the format and presentation maydiffer.It is the intent and objective of the US and Canadian SDOs and associated Industries to avoid th

34、e use ofsingle country deviations to the greatest extent possible and practical. Single country deviations shouldonly be used as a last resort when all other options have been explored. Further this includes acommitment to review and reconsider any and all single country revisions at each revision c

35、ycle with theintent of finding solutions to remove the single county deviation in the spirit of tri-national harmonization.A list of work item requests will be recorded between revision cycles and by default removal of all singlecountry deviations will be on the list for the next revision cycle.Reas
