All fields in ATSC A/65 A65 Section 6.4 that a
14、re not specified hereinafter shall have values per ATSC A/65 A65. Each text field defined in ATSC A/65 A65 Section 6.4 shall conform to ATSC A/65 A65 Section 6.4. The syntax and semantics of all RRTs shall conform to ATSC A/65 A65 Section. 6.4, with exceptions noted herein. The table shall be constr

Table 2 Canadian Rating Region Table Information 3.3 Downloadable U.S. Rating Region Table (Informative) This standard reserves rating_region value 0x05 for a downloadable U.S. (50 states plus possessions) Rating Region Table, a part of a downloadable rating system that
34、 may be defined in the future. 3.4 Other Rating Regions (Informative) Other Region Rating Tables are outside the scope of CEA-766. The ATSC is the Registration Authority for the assignment and maintenance of the rating_region field within the PSIP Rating Region Table. Readers may find information re
35、ferencing other RRTs in the ATSC Code Point Registry CPR. The ATSC Code Point Registry reserves rating region value 0x04 for the Republic of Korea. 4 Content Advisory Descriptor This Section provides the additional information (beyond that provided in ATSC A/65 A65 Section 6.9.3) to define the allow
36、ed combinations of rating_dimension and rating_value for rating_region 0x01 and rating_region 0x02, in the content_advisory_decriptor(). All fields in ATSC A/65 A65 Table 6.27, not specified hereinafter, shall have values per ATSC A/65 A65. The source for determining a programs rating in the system
37、using the A/65 A65-defined EIT shall be the content_advisory_descriptor() contents, including the case of no content_advisory_descriptor() present in the EIT. Absence of the content_advisory_descriptor() from the EIT shall mean there is no program rating for the program in this system. Digital recei
38、vers shall ignore any analog content advisory data transmitted via digitally-carried ANSI/CEA-608 608 data (e.g., in picture-level user data). NOTEThis requirement prohibits any use of ANSI/CEA-608 608-defined XDS data for blocking when the program is described by the EIT. 6 CEA-766-D NOTEWhen a pro
39、gram is not described by an EIT, blocking criteria are outside the scope of this standard. Other processing of XDS, including potential blocking by NTSC sets when NTSC outputs are provided from a digital set, is outside the scope of this standard. Other blocking systems permitted by FCC rules are ou
40、tside the scope of this standard. 4.1 U.S. Content Advisory Descriptor Syntax Value rating_region 0x01 rated_dimensions This field may have a value from 0x01 to 0x08 depending on the number of dimensions that apply to the rating of this program rating_dimension This field may have a value from 0x00
41、to 0x07 to signify one of the 8 rating dimensions defined for the U.S. Rating System. rating_value This field will indicate the value assigned to the dimension in accordance with the rating of the program. Only certain combinations of dimensions and values are allowed. See subsequent description. ra

According to ATSC A/65 A65, the program rating is conveyed from the broadcaster to the
43、receiver by the Content Advisory Descriptor, specifically through rating dimensions having appropriate values. This is exactly analogous to the contents of the XDS packet defined in ANSI/CEA-608 608. There are 54 possible messages defined by ANSI/CEA-608 608, and this standard defines 54 identical m
44、essages to be conveyed by the Content Advisory Descriptor. Table 3 lists the 54 messages. The entries in Table 3 show the values of each of the 8 defined dimensions for each of the 54 allowed messages. No other combinations of rating dimension and rating value are allowed.
