The purpose of the architecture model is to provide a common basis for the coordination of ATA st

5、rom IHS-,-,-Approval of an American National Standard requires review by ANSI that therequirements for due process, consensus, and other criteria for approval havebeen met by the standards developer.Consensus is established when, in the judgement of the ANSI Board ofStandards Review, substantial agr

6、eement has been reached by directly andmaterially affected interests. Substantial agreement means much more thana simple majority, but not necessarily unanimity. Consensus requires that allviews and objections be considered, and that a concerted effort be madetowards their resolution.The use of Amer

32、t ATA application soft-ware and device-resident firmware across all ATA transport protocols. These require-ments are defined through a reference model that specifies the behavior and abstractstructure that is generic to all ATA I/O system implementations.Requests for interpretation, suggestions for

33、improvement and addenda, or defect re-ports are welcome.
