Quintero Pentair Valves if not specified, the gas over oil actuator will fail in last position. 6.3.6 Fail-safe positions Common fail-safe positions available: ANSI/ISA-96.08.01-2017 - 20- a) Fail in last position (Lock in last/current position) b) Fai

12、l open (Drive to the full open position) c) Fail closed (Drive to the full closed position) d) Fail to user specified position 6.3.7 Fail-safe conditions Condition specification shall include active or passive state and the levels which define the event including but not limited to the following: a)

13、 ESD / trip signal b) Low/high gas pressure settings c) Line break When specified, a power gas storage bottle with an isolating check valve on the supply line shall be provided in the power gas circuit to provide sufficient reserve for valve actuator fail safe operation at a predefined operating pre

14、ssure. 6.3.8 Controls User shall specify the method or combination of methods used to control the actuator. This section defines the available methods for control. 6.3.8.1 Local control capabilities A control station shall be provided with manual open-close devices and when required a local-remote s

15、elector device. 6.3.8.2 Remote control When specified, actuators shall be provided with integrally mounted control system which receives a signal. 6.3.8.3 Partial stroke testing (PST) User shall specify the need for partial stroke testing along with the triggering event and method for validation. Ty

16、pical triggering events can be specified as follows: a) Remote control Primary control signal change or dedicated PST signal b) Manual Push button or keypad access c) Auto-schedule Microcontroller conducts PST on preprogrammed interval During the PST event, the valve movement may be validated throug

17、h one or a combination of the following: a) Position feedback - 21 - ANSI/ISA-96.08.01-2017 b) PST Relay or contact c) Dedicated PST signal d) Visual confirmation The need for thrust / torque, speed, valve signatures and advanced diagnostics shall be communicated from the user to the manufacturer /

18、supplier. Further information on PST testing can be found in ANSI/ISA-TR96.05.01 documentation. 6.4 FAT/SAT (Factory Acceptance Test / Site Acceptance Test) procedure Any additional FAT/SAT testing requirements shall be defined and provided to the actuator supplier. As a minimum, each gas over oil a

19、ctuator shall meet the performance testing criteria defined in the testing section 9 of this document. 6.5 Manual override All gas over oil actuators shall be supplied with hydraulic manual overrides (HMO) to open or close the valve in the event of loss of electrical power by default. The HMO operat

20、ion will be designed in order to provide operation priority as per the following options: a) priority of the manual operation against the remote operation b) when specified, priority of the remote control and automatic return to the remote control, even if the system has been left in the local opera

21、tion mode. The lever of the handpump and the handle of the directional control valve (if required) shall be lockable to prevent unauthorized manual operation. The pump extension shall be designed such that it is retracted into the pump body, when not in use, to prevent exposure to atmosphere, inadve

22、rtent sandblasting, or painting operations. The oil distributor shall be provided with 4 working positions: a) remote control b) local control to close c) local control to open d) by-pass position to equalize the oil levels in the two tanks is required when the design of the actuator is such that th

23、e open / close hydraulic circuits are not completely isolated 6.6 Accessories 6.6.1 Position switches User may specify the need for mechanical, magnetic or electrical position switches to indicate travel limits and/or confirmation that a partial stroke was achieved. Position switch settings shall be

24、 adjustable. ANSI/ISA-96.08.01-2017 - 22- 6.6.2 Corrosion protection User may specify a specific corrosion resistant coating to be used or may specify the need to operate in an extreme and harsh environment. 6.6.3 Accumulators User may specify, as needed: a) The duration of time the accumulator must

25、 maintain a failsafe position without electrical power. b) The number of full strokes the accumulator will need to provide after a loss of electrical power. 6.6.4 Options Control systems may contain the following: a) Local and remote control by means of two signals, one to close and one to open b) P

26、neumatic line break control sensing the rate of pressure drop DP/DT c) ESD control sensing the pressure of the pipeline or pilot signal d) Electric Fail Safe control with one control signal only e) Differential pressure control preventing valve opening when the differential pressure across the valve

27、 exceeds a pre-set point f) Torque limiting device g) Additional storage tank for emergency operation by failure of pipeline gas, complete with isolation stop valve, check valve, pressure gauge, relief valve 7 Design requirements 7.1 Wiring entry All cable entries into the control devices shall be c

28、apable of conforming to or exceeding the actuators ingress rating and specified hazardous area classification. In general, when power, control, and signaling wires have different types of potential, two cables entries are required for isolation, as a minimum. 7.2 Electrical enclosure sealing All sta

29、ndalone electrical enclosures with hinged doors, requiring an ingress protection rating, shall use closed cell foam or an elastomeric gasket, with no seams. All hinged door openings shall be tapered or designed with a drip edge to prevent pooling water from making contact with the gasket. Unless oth

30、erwise stated, electrical enclosures shall meet, as a minimum, NEMA 4X or IEC IP65. - 23 - ANSI/ISA-96.08.01-2017 7.3 Corrosion protection Actuators shall be protected against external corrosion by proper material selection and/or surface treatment. When specified by the user, the design shall be ac

31、ceptable for use in a marine environment. If extreme or harsh environmental service conditions exist, the user shall communicate the existence of these conditions to the actuator manufacturer, enabling them to properly select corrosion protection and / or adapt the actuator design. Shaft/rod materia

32、l and coatings vary among actuator manufacturers, though typical cylinders include a hard chrome-plated rod. The purchaser must advise the manufacturer if additional special material such as a stainless-steel rod is required and/or a special coating is required for harsh or severe service conditions

33、. A protective flexible rod-boot shall be considered for external protection of the cylinder rod. 7.4 Endurance Gas over oil actuators shall be designed to have a minimum endurance, without maintenance, in accordance with EN 15714-4:2009 (paragraph 4.3.2). 7.5 Output torques The guaranteed actuator

34、output torque/thrust in both directions, as associated with the minimum and maximum pipeline operating pressure at operating temperature shall be provided by the manufacturer / supplier. When the output torque varies with the rotation in a non-linear relationship, tabulated data and / or torque curv

35、es shall be provided. 7.6 Environmental conditions 7.6.1 Temperature conditions The design shall be suitable to withstand a temperature range from -30C up to +100C (-20F to +210F). For temperature above and below the above temperature range consult the manufacturer. 7.6.2 Actuator protection The non

36、-pressurized center body of the actuator shall be IP66/67M, or NEMA 4, 4x, 6. 7.6.3 Corrosion protection All parts, metallic and non-metallic, shall be suitable for the service specified by the purchaser. Metallic materials shall be selected to avoid corrosion and galling, which can impair function

37、and / or pressure-containing capability. 7.7 Structural design requirements 7.7.1 Pressure-containing parts The center body shall incorporate a means to protect against over-pressurization due to hydraulic supply or process. Each manufacturer will have its own method for accomplishing overpressure p

38、rotection. ANSI/ISA-96.08.01-2017 - 24- Gas over oil tanks material, unless otherwise specified by the user or dictated by the service (i.e., sour gas service), shall be carbon steel. The gas entry port of the tank shall be fitted with a diffuser to prevent the power gas from foaming the hydraulic f

39、luid. Pressure containing parts, including relevant bolting and tie rods, shall be designed in accordance to ISO 12490:2011 (paragraph 7.2), unless otherwise stated. 7.7.2 Mechanical loaded parts All the parts subjected to mechanical loads shall be designed to support the maximum in-service loads, a

40、nd shall take into account the torque / thrust generated at maximum rated pressure and maximum spring force. 7.7.3 Position orientation The gas over oil tanks shall always be installed in a vertical position. Vertical position may be required during the transportation if the system is filled with hy

41、draulic fluid. Figure 9 Example of vertical mounting of gas over oil tank in case of horizontal stem valve 7.7.4 Actuator mounting interface Mounting interface of the rotary actuator shall be as per ISO 5211 or MSS SP-101. Mounting interface of the linear actuator shall be as per ISO 5210. - 25 - AN

42、SI/ISA-96.08.01-2017 The yoke coupling may have up to 4 keyways, to allow mounting of the actuator in any of the four positions around the centerline of the valve stem. Figure 10- Typical interface for valve mounting hardware 7.7.5 Mounting kit The automator shall supply all mounting hardware and ac

43、cessories in order to successfully mate the actuator to the standard topworks of the valve. It is responsibility of the automator and valve vendor to cooperate in the exchange of mating dimensions and torque data for actuator sizing. 7.7.6 Lifting Lifting points for the gas over oil actuator shall b

44、e clearly identified. 7.7.7 Sealing system All pressure containing seals shall be elastomeric. The external sealing system shall be bubble tight throughout the complete pressure range. NOTE Specific actuator designs such as a rotary vane may have an acceptable amount of internal leakage that will no

45、t impact performance or torque output of the actuator. For low temperature applications, a type and grade of elastomer compatible with hydrocarbon gas, and the hydraulic fluid used, other than NBR, may be used. ANSI/ISA-96.08.01-2017 - 26- 7.8 Basic accessories 7.8.1 Stem extension Stem extension sh

46、all be designed in accordance with ISO 14313:2007, 7.20.2. 7.8.2 Position indicators Position indicators, whose visibility requirements shall be specified by the purchaser, shall be installed onto the actuator in order to show the position of the valve. 7.9 Control system 7.9.1 The gas over oil actu

47、ator shall be supplied with an integrally mounted control system to provide a complete operating unit. 7.9.2 When specified by the user, the control system or part of it (i.e., control devices, gas hydraulic tanks, etc.) shall be mounted free standing. 7.9.3 The actuators speed control valves shall

48、be capable of bi-directional flow control. 7.9.4 The pilot and control devices shall be designed for manifold sub plate mounting to minimize piping and tube fittings. 7.9.5 The directional valves shall be: zero leakage, poppet type design designed for the full pipeline pressure compact with modular

49、design to permit easy configuration of different control schematics designed of corrosion resistant materials 7.9.6 The pipeline control gas shall be filtered to a maximum particle size of 150 microns. Condensate separation shall be normally provided. For cold and wet gases, a dehydration unit may be provided. 7.9.7 Local manual gas operation shall be provided by means of integral manual handles. The release of the handle will cause the valve to stop. 7.9.8 The control system shall be of the 3-way design, such that the actuator is pressurized only d
