、uction or networking permitted without license from IHS-,-,-FOREWORD IS0 (the International Organization for Standardization) is a worldwide federation of national standards institutes (IS0 member bodies). The work of developing International Standards is carried out through IS0 technical committees
、. Every member body interested in a subject for which a technical committee has been set up has the right to be represented on that committee. International organizations, governmental and non-governmental, in liaison with ISO, also take part in the work. Draft International Standards adopted by the
、 technical committees are circulated to the member bodies for approval before their acceptance as International Standards by the IS0 Council. International Standard IS0 4232/2 was developed by Technical Committee ISO/TC 95, Office machines, and was circulated to the member bodies in December 1978. I

、fficult for potential users to assess which machine(s) might best meet their requirements. 1 SCOPE AND FIELD OF APPLICATION This International Standard specifies the minimum information that shall be included in the specification sheets of document copying machines so that users may compare directly
、 the characteristics of different machines. It does not apply to microcopying equipment. 2 REFERENCE IS0 3066, Duplicating machines - Registration. 3 ARRANGEMENT OF THE INFORMATION In order to comply with this International Standard, specification sheets shall contain, in the order shown, all items
、listed in clause 4 below which are relevant to the machine being described. Additional points may be included under items 1 to 8, if appropriate. This information shall be given before any other data, and it is important that the numbers and headings for the main sections (for example 2 Performance
、data) should be shown, although numbers identifying sub-sections such as 2.1 and 2.2 may be omitted. Where grammage (g/m*) data is given, it is assumed that the paper has been conditioned in the standard atmosphere defined in IS0 3066, i.e. at a temperature and relative humidity of 20 f 2 “C and 65
、+ 5 % respectively. The mini- mum information given in 3.2.1 and 3.2.4 is for an original without the need for a supporting sheet. A note shall be included near the heading of the specification sheet to indicate that it has been drawn up in accordance with this International Standard. 1 Copyright Am
