If a manufacturer objects to a newly i

Since the traditional eighth-inch sizes have long been utilized for lamps of this kind, their use is continued in this standard.

They normally consist of lead wires extending from the lamp pinch/bead or butt seal to be used for an external connection. 7 Electrical, Photometry, and Life Charact

34、eristics and Requirements 7.1 The values of lamp voltage, current, and candela in Tables 1 through 9 are those rated or design values that apply at an initial time after the lamps have been aged or seasoned for 1% of rated life or 10 hours, whichever is less. See SAE Standard J573, Miniature Lamp Bu

35、lbs in SAE Ground Vehicle Lighting Standards Manual. 7.2 Lamp current and candela shall be measured at rated voltage or accelerated test voltage 0.1 volts. Lamps shall be operated at AC or DC voltage equal to their rated or accelerated test voltage. 7.3 For life testing the voltage shall also be mai

36、ntained at rated voltage or accelerated test voltage 0.1 volts. Life of lamps listed in the Tables is that from AC operation. Life of most T1 or T1-3/4 subminiature lamps may be substantially reduced from DC operation. Consult manufacturer for additional information. Also, life listed in the Tables

37、is that from laboratory testing, and not from testing in various applications. 7.4 Lamp Current No more than 20% of the test lamps shall deviate from the current specified for the relevant lamps listed in the Tables by more than an allowance of 10%. 7.5 Initial Candela No more than 20% of test lamps

38、 with clear finish shall deviate from the candela value specified for the relevant lamps in the Tables by more than an allowance of 25%. 7.6 Life Test lamps shall yield an average life to burnout of not less than that specified for the relevant lamps listed in the Tables as modified below to take in

If LCL and MOL vary among some lamps in a Table, their LCL or MOL values are noted at the end of the Table (Tables 7 and 8). If LCL and MOL
