20、Enhanced General Packet Radio Service- 136 (EGPRS-136) mobile stations (MS) and TIA/EIA-136 message centers. This standard introduces the functions of the Intenvorking Function Message Center (IWF,) which provides the interface between the TIA/EIA-136 Message Center and the Gateway MSC for Short Mes

This standard also specifies the functions within the EGPRS-136 MS that are necessary to support TIA/EIA- 136 Teleservice delivery over the GSM Short-Message Service. All other functions of the EGPRS-136 MS relating to s

23、s standard specifies the delivery of TIA/EIA- 136 Teleservices to EGPRS-136 MSs using the Gd interface. Figure 1 shows the network reference model and introduces the IWF, network node. The IWF, uses the GSM SMS protocol to transport TIA/EIA-136 teleservices. The IWF, supports both native-GSM mode te

24、leservices and non-native-GSM mode teleservices. The IWF, relays GSM Transfer Protocol Data Units (TPDUs) received from the TIA/EIA-41 message centers to SMS-GMSCs and relays GSM TPDUs received from SMS-IWMSCs to the message centers. The IWF, provides the necessary intenvorking between a TIA/EIA-41

42、on receiving the MO RP-DATA, SGSN constructs a GSM MAP-MO-FSM inserting the calling party MSISDN as the MAP Originating Address and sends it to the IWF,. The MAP message is routed to the SMS-IWMSC, which is anchoring the addressed IWF,. SMS-IWMSC relays GSM SM RP-MO-DATA to the addressed IWF, node i

IWF, receives GSM SM PDUs, insert it as the SMS-Bearer Data field of a TIA/EIA-41 SMDPP message, and forwards the message to TIA/EIA-41 MC per TIA/EIA-41 SM routing standard, e.g., If MC address (MC-A) is provided, ANSI SS7 ro

GTT method can be used to route the message to either calling partys home MC or the called partys home MC. MC responds with smdpp indicating success. IWF, sends RP-ACK to indicate success. 13 TIA/EIA-136-670 7. 8. SMS-SMSC constructs and sends a GSM MAP-MO-FSM-ACK indicating success. SGSN constructs and sends RP-ACK indicating success. 14
