24、nated voice mail box, when the subscriber is engaged in a call or service. CFB does not impact a subscribers ability to originate calls. A subscriber may select a forward-to number termination address when the subscriber registers the CFB. Applicability to Telecommunications Services CFB is applicab
25、le to voice telecommunications services. 1.1 Normal Procedures with Successful Outcome Authorization CFB may be generally available or may be provided after prearrangement with the service provider. The authorization may have the following subscription options: Table 1: CFB Subscription Options Subs
26、cription Options Values Registration Variable. The subscriber is authorized to specify his or her own forward-to number. Fixed. Forward-to number is registered upon authorization. Activation Demand. The subscriber is authorized to control the activation and deactivation of CFB. Permanent. CFB is act
27、ive while authorized. Deauthorization CFB may be withdrawn at the subscribers request or for administrative reasons. Registration If the subscriber is authorized for Fixed Registration, the forward-to number shall be registered upon authorization. The CFB forward-to number may be registered by the s
28、ervice provider upon authorization for Variable Registration subscribers. 29、be registered by a Variable Registration authorized subscriber specifying the CFB registration feature code and a forward-to number termination address or voice message system Modifier Digit 8 (“V” on the keypad), as in: *FC + termination address + SEND , or *FC + 8 + SEND (Voice message system). If
30、 the registration is accepted, the system shall indicate success with feature confirmation treatment. Registration associates the subscriber with the termination address as a forward-to number or with a particular voice mailbox on a voice message system. Voice mailbox passwords are registered separa
31、tely with the voice message system. Deregistration CFB may be deregistered upon deactivation (at the home service provider option). If the deregistration is to be separate from deactivation, the deregistration feature code must be distinct from the corresponding deactivation feature code. CFB may be
32、 deregistered by a Variable Registration authorized subscriber specifying the CFB deregistration feature code, as in: *FC0 + SEND . CFB shall be deregistered upon deauthorization. Activation If the subscriber is authorized for Permanent Activation, CFB shall be activated upon authorization. CFB may
33、be activated upon registration for Demand Activation authorized subscribers. CFB may be activated upon registration for Variable Registration authorized subscribers. A previously registered CFB forward-to number may be activated by a Demand Activation authorized subscriber specifying a CFB activatio
34、n feature code, as in: *FC + SEND . If the activation is accepted, the system shall indicate success with feature confirmation treatment. The serving system may provide a courtesy call to the forward-to number shortly after this feature is activated permitting the subscriber to verify the validity o

36、n authorized subscriber specifying the CFB deactivation feature code, as in: *FC0 + SEND . If the deactivation is accepted, the system shall indicate success with feature confirmation treatment. CFB shall be deactivated upon deauthorization or deregistration. Invocation The feature treatment is invo

Normal Operation with Successful Outcome When CFB is active, incoming calls for the subscriber shall be forwarded to the forward-to number when the subsc
38、riber is considered to be busy. Call Detail Record The system should record call detail information for the following: a. CFB registration activities and events. b. CFB deregistration activities and events. c. CFB activation activities and events. d. CFB deactivation activities and events. e. CFB in
39、vocation events. f. Forward-to call leg usage. See DMH for the specific information to be included for each element. 1.2 Exception Procedures or Unsuccessful Outcome Registration If the subscriber is not authorized for the request, or if the forward-to number is not acceptable, the system shall appl

The system should not accept forward-to numbers to the operator (0- or 0+), service codes (N11), police, fire or similar agencies, or a revertive call. Activation If the sub
42、scriber is not authorized for the request, or if a forward-to number is not properly registered, the system shall apply feature denial treatment when activation is attempted. If the courtesy call to the forward-to number cannot be routed, then the call should be given the appropriate treatment, such
43、 as applying the Special Information Tone for intercept to the registering subscriber. Since the validity of the forward-to number is in doubt, CFB may be deregistered and deactivated. Courtesy calls need not be answered to verify the validity of the forward-to number. Deactivation If the subscriber
44、 is not authorized for the request, the system shall apply feature denial treatment when deactivation is attempted. Invocation If the forwarded call cannot be routed to the forwarded-to destination, then the call should be given the appropriate treatment, such as applying the Special Information Ton
45、e for intercept to the calling party. Precautions should be taken to preclude undesirable looping of forwarded numbers within the MSC or between the MSC and other switching centers. If such looping is detected, the call forwarding should be given the appropriate treatment, such as applying the Speci

Different CFB t

Even if the subscriber has CFB active, incoming calls shall be given the subscriber inaccessible treatment. If CD is a

If the call is delivered to the subscriber, the subscriber is busy, and the subscriber has CFB active, the call shall be diverted to the CFB forward-to number. Call ForwardingBusy (CFB) Not applicable. Call ForwardingDefault (CFD) CFB takes precedence over CFD. That is, calls arriving to a busy subscriber with CFB and CFD active shall be forwarded by CFB and not given CFD treatment. Call ForwardingNo Answer (CFNA) CFB is mutually exclusive with CFNA.
