Salient c
2、haracteristics: The product shall be a solution containing as active ingredients iodine complexed with a nonionic synthetic detergent. EPA registration. The product shall be registered by the Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) as a disinfectant suitable for use in hospitals, clinics or any other
3、medical-related facility. The product shall be. labeled with directions for dilution and use. The product and its label shall comply with the Regulations for the Enforcement of the Federal Insecticide, Fungicide and Rodenticide Act (Code of Federal Regulations, Title 40, Parts 162-180). When used as
4、 directed, the product shall be non-staining. Effectiveness. When used as directed on the label, the use-dilution solution, prepared with hard water containing 400 ppm hardness (as calcium carbonate), shall be: Y bactericidal against Staphylococcus aureus (ATCC No. 6538) choleraesuis (ATCC No. 10708
5、) uginosa (ATCC No. 15442); tuberculocidal against Mycobacter fungicidal against Tr ichophyto viricidal against Adenovirus Salmonella Pseudomonas acr ium tuberculosis var. Bovis (BcC); ln mentagrophytes (ATCC No. 9533); and Type A-2 Herpes simplex Vaccina Influenza A2. Effectiveness shall be documen
6、ted by data from test methods and conditions acceptable under the Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) “Efficacy Data Requirementsll and Tonfirmatory Data Require- ments“ DIS/TSS 1-10, Color. The color of the product shall be amber. There shall be no colorants other than iodine in the product. Effe
7、ct on conductive flooring. When conductive flooring which meets the requirements of NFPA Standard No. %A is washed with the use-dilution of the product and allowed to dry without rinsing, it shall still meet the conductivity requirements of NFPA Standard 56A. The issue of NFPA Standard 56A in effect
8、 on the date of the solicltation shall be used to determine compliance. Certlflcation. The contractor shall certify that the product offered meets the salient characteristics of this description, and that the product conforms to the producers own drawings, specifications, standards, and quality assu
9、rance practises, and is the same product sold in the commercial marketplace. The Government reserves the right to require proof of such conformance prior to first delivery and thereafter as may be otherwise provided for under the provisions of the contract. pecking, and marking. Bids shall be evaluated on the basis of price per gallon of use-dilution solution obtainable, This is calculated as follows: Price per gallon of use-dilution solution = A x 3 c Where: A = bid price per container of product, B = ounces of prod
13、uct needed to make one gallon of use-dilution solution, C = ounces of product per container. Bidders shall state on their bid the amount of product (in ounces) required to make one gallon of use-dilution solution as stated on the label. Where more than one use-dilution is stated on the label, the us
14、e-dilution with the largest quantity of product per gallon of use-dilution solution shall be used in determining the cost. Intended use. The iodophor disinfectant-detergent covered by this commercial item description is intended to be used to disinfect hard surfaces such as floors, washable walls, m
15、etal furniture, etc. in cafeterias, locker rooms and sick rooms, The product is a cleaner as well as a disinfectant, however to assure adequate disinfection gross filth and heavy soll should be removed prior to disinfection. DO NOT MIX THIS PRODUCT WITH ANY OTHER SOAP OR CLEANING PRODUCT. Soaps and
