The eggwhips shall be fabricated from corrosion-resisting steel, type 302 or 304 conforminu to ASTM A 167. fastened to a tubular metal handle or molded plastic handle. The minimum space be
11、tween the bow wires at the handle shall be 1/16 inch. The handle shall be sealed at the end opposite the bow wires and at the point of entry of the bow wires with non-toxic solder or epoxy in order to prevent accumulation of foreign material. The handles shall be a minimum of 4 inches in length and

The size 1 eggwhip shall be 11-1/2 to 12-1/2 inches in overmngth a
13、nd have a minimum bow diameter of 2-1/2 inches. The size 1 eggwhip shall have a minimum of eight bow wires. bow wires shall have a minimum diameter of 0.078 inch. . The 3.1.2 Size 2, The size 2 eggwhip shall be 15-1/2 to 17 inches in overall length and have a minimum bow diameter of 2-3/4 inches. Th
14、e size 2 eggwhip shall have a minimum of seven bow wires. The bow wires shall have a minimum diameter of 0.090 inch. 3.2 National Sanitation Foundation (NSF) compliance. Prior to approval of first shipment, the contractor shall submit to the con tr act ing officer OK his aut hoz ized r epr esent a t
15、 i ve sat i sf act or y evidence that the items offered meet the applicable requirements of NSF Criteria No. C-2. Satisfactory evidence of this compliance may be any of the following: (1) A listing in the current edition of the NSF “Listing of Food Service Equipment“ and display of the NSF seal on t
16、he finished item, or (2) A certification issued by NSF under this special one-time contr act eva ua t i on/cer t i fica t i on ser vice, or (3) A certified test report from a recognized independent testing laboratory acceptable to the contracting officer or authorized representative of the service f
17、or which the items are being procured, indicating that the item has been tested and conforms to NSF Criteria No. C-2. 3.3 Marking. The eggwhip shall be marked with the manufacturers name, trade name, or trademark by means of a hang tag or adhesive decal. 3.4 Workmanship. The eggwhips shall be clean
18、and free from any burs, slivers, scratches, rough die marks, or excess solder. The eggwhips shall not be fractured, buckled, bent, punctured, malformed, or damaged. 3.5 Regulatory requirements. The offeror/contractor is encouraged to use recovered materials in accordance with Public Law 94-580 to th
19、e maxi mum extent pr act i cab1 e. 3.6 Metric products. Products manufactured to metric dimensions will -be considered on an equal basis with those manufactured using inch/pound units, provided they fall within the tolerances specified using conversion tables contained in the latest revision of FED-

Unless otherwise specified in the contract or.purchase order, the contractor is responsible for the perfor
22、mance of all inspection requirements as specified herein. Except as otherwise specified in the contract or order, the contractor may use his own or any other facilities suitable for the performance of the inspection requirements specified herein, unless disapproved by the Government. to perform any
23、of the inspections set forth in the specification where such inspections are deemed necessary to assure that supplies and services conform to prescribed requirments. 4.2 Sampling. The levels of inspection and acceptable quality levels) shal I be in accordance with MIL-STD-105. The Government reserve

All eggwhips from the same manufacturer of the same size offered for delivery.at one time shall be considered a lot for purposes of inspection. .- 4.4 Sampling for visual and dimensional examination. A random sample of eggwhips shall be selected from each lot in accord
25、ance with inspection level S-4, AQL 4.0 expressed in terms of defects per hundred units. The sample unit shall be one eggwbip. The sample eggwhips shall be visually and dimensionally examiaed to verify compliance with table I and the remainder of this commercial item description. All dimensions are

A random sample of shipping containers shall be selected from each lot for examination of the unit, intermediate and shipping containers (as applicable) for conformance with the preservation, packaging, packing, labelin
29、g, and marking required in the contract or order. Samples shall be selected in accordance with inspection level S-2, AQL 6.5, expressed in terms of defects per hundred units. 5 .
