The wadding sheets shall consist of 100 percent cotton fiber,natural color, unbended, clean and free of excessive foreign matter.I2.2 Physical requi

The contractor shall certify, and maintain substantiatingevidence, that the product offered meets the salient characteristics andrequirements of this Commercial Item Description, and that the product conformsto the producers own drawings, specifications, standards, and quality assurancepractices

Lots of sheet wadding shall be inspected inaccordance with MIL-STD-10
9、5. The lot size shall be expressed in units offinished sheets of wadding. The sample unit shall be one finished sheet ofwadding. The inspection level shall be 11 and the acceptable quality level(AQL), expressed in terms of defects per hundred units, shall be 6.5. The sheetwadding shall be examined f
10、or the following defects: defects in material, colorother than natural, construction, workmanship; poor cohesion (pulls apart inspite of careful handling); any size hole, cut, or tear; local accumulations offoreign matter (seed coat fragments, trash), any spot or stain clearlynoticeable.3.2.2 Dimens
11、ional examination. The finished end items shall be examinedwithout damaging or disassembling the end items for measurement for the lengthand width dimensions specified in table I. my dimension (measured withouttension) not within the specified ranges shall be classified as a defect. Thelot size shal
12、l be expressed in units of finished sheets of wadding. The sampleunit shall be one finished sheet of wadding. The inspection level shall be S-3and the AQL, expressed in terms of defects per hundred units, shall be 2*5-3.2.3 End item testing. The methods of testing specified in FED-STD-191,wherever a
13、pplicable, and as listed in table II shall be followed. The lot sizeshall be expressed in units of finished sheets of wadding. The bales shall be formed so thatone sheet can be removed at a time without delaminating the other sheets.4.2 Packing. E
16、ach bale shall be packed in a plastic bag conforming toA-A-1668. The plastic bag shall have a nominal thickness of 0.00S inch.4.3 Palletization. Uhen specified (see 5.2), wadding packed as.specified in4.2, shall be palletized in accordance with load type II of MIL-STD-147. Pallettype shall be type I
17、 (4-way entry), type IV or type V in accordance withMIL-STD-1470 Pallets shall be fabricated from wood groups I, II, III or IV ofMIL-STD-731. Each prepared load shall be bonded with primary and secondarystraps in accordance with bonding means C and D or film bonding means F or G.4.4 Karkin. In addit
18、ion to any special marking required by the contract orpurchase order, bales and palletized unit loads shall be marked in accordancewith MIL-STD-129.5. NOTES5.1 Intended use.
