2、. Intended use. This commercial item description covers a scale system for automatically weighing, overwrapping, pricing, and printing and affixing labels to prepackaged food items. 2. Salient characteristics, 2.1 Design and construction. The scale system shall consist of an automatic wrapping machi
3、ne, a digital computer scale, a thermal label printer with dispenser rack and the capacity for printing universal product code bar symbols, and a mobile rotary bin. The system shall have the capacity to automatically weigh, wrap, and affix item/pricing labels to var-ious size packages. The packages
4、shall range in different :zes up to 12 inches long by 10 inches wide by 5 inches high and shall be processed at the rate of 22 to 32 per minute. All operating control mechanisms for the system shall be conveniently located for the operator. 2.2 Wrapping machine, The automatic wrapping machine shall
5、be rigidly constructed of steel or aluminum and readily accessible for cleaning. The unit shall have the capacity to automatically weigh the prepackaged item then fcetl, measure, overwrap, cut, and heat seal the plastic krapping to the package. The unit shall be equipped with a weighing platter and
6、incoming And outgoing conveyor belts. The unit shall have the capacity to accommodate three or niore rolls of wrapping film of various widths up to i8 inches wide. The unit shall have a mechanism to stretch wrap the film complctcly around the package and shall be equipped with a mechanical film cutt
7、er and thermostatically controllcd heat sealer. The incoming powered conveyor belt shall feed packngcs onto the platter for weighing. This processing step shall require no pusher arm con:nc: with package until weighing has been completed, shall feed the weighed, wrapped, and labelcd package into the

The scale shall consist of: a modular component scale with counter type platform, a solid state controlling mechanism with electronic memory, and
